Here in Finland it will be on average around 570 euros, comparing to iPhone 3gs 32GB 1130 euros (16GB version iphone ~950euros).. N900 will apparently be cheaper than the N97 which is quite surprising to me, as it is much better.

If u see Price wise i can agree that @ ur country N900 is way cheaper compared to apple iphone 3g or 3gs. By after purchase if u see Nokia people dosn't give customers added apps which can be added to our device. if we want to we need to go to some unknown website and download some 3rd party apps. And every time for some 1 or 2 added features we need to change the handset . that s the problem with nokia.. since i have been working with nokia for around 3 yrs, this is what i think ...

@ NYTUBES - I don't think its true. There are very good smart phones available and all have their pros and crons. for ex: check Samsung Ominia HD (i8910)

keyboard and stylus is just a user choice. I don't like them anyway.

What i'm exited about this phone is the new Maemo 5 OS. I like to see how its gonna be compared to symbian. Speed, apps and development speed, bugs, etc...

I have the same prob dude. Im planning to buy N97 at the end of the month. AND THEN i heard about this N900 phone. I have no idea about the exact price but according to amazon's site. N900 is about $589 compared to N97's $529.

Im from the Philippines and if you convert those two prices and compare , theres just a little difference. N900 is just expensive by $60.

the n900 is better...a lot....the n97 for exampel only supports a few vido formats while the n900 supports a lot of different formats...than the camera, op, web browser texting etc etc is better on the n900....and the price aren't that big a difference so the n900 is as clear winner

2. Phone function example support portrait mode. Nokia have made it rather clear that menus wont be going portrait as it would brake some of the UI elements, but every app there is can be used in portrait if the develober has done some extra work and made it work in portrait.

One good example is fennec browser for N900 that's being made by mozilla firefox team and will work in portrait too.

well.. at Nokia World... the didn't say anything about updating Adobe Flash!!

And since Maemo 5 is open source, developers are free to develop programs that can run in portrait mode.. Nokia said that there are no constraints on doing it... so.. we'll just have to wait and see
