@buterfly206 Actually, I ended up going and I was fine. :) There were no sharks, haha. I was on beach-90th & holland and there was lots of people. The only "animals" in the water were the fish eggs. xD
they wont fucking kill anyone goddamn leave the alone there are sharks in australia and hawaii and puerto rico and everywhere calm the fuck down. im still surfing rockaway
this video is so real and crazy and the video is so funny and it is crazy but that will
happen to someone if they go far away like 5;0 or 90 and like one day i whent to rookaway and i did not see a baby shark and a momy shark or see a dady shark so i got to go so i will send a post card tomorrow so bue and my name is laisha so bue so i will see you guys tomorrow so bue everyone
Damn that's to close. Do sharks really come that close? >_< I hope not cause when i go to the beach I go far into the water is under my chin and my height is 5'0
omg there were THREE sharks @ rockaway beach yesterday. this is crazy. a girl was on her surf board and the damn shark was tugging at her board attachment. the other two circled the board. her father saved her.
I was living in Rockaway when this was shot. I vividly remember walking on the beach with friends one evening when some fishermen accidentally hooked a thresher shark. My friends helped the fishermen free the shark and toss it back in the water, past the break. Poor thing couldn't get past it to deep water until four men threw him far enough.
Even though I was born & spend most of my time in London, my 2nd home is Rockaway beach..my place is right on the beach so this view is what I have. I can say that you see these all the time.
thresher or not its still a shark.. whos to say thts the only type that lurk our waters.. too close tooo home.. i love sharks but i have a certain respect for the waters n we all should never feel safe.. becouse we arent..
every so often they pop up in rockaway. i was in the water and i stepped on something slimy and when i looked down it was a baby shark. less than 5 feet away from the cost on rockaway beach. sometimes ppl find them washed up on the shore. there was dolphins last year and horseshoe crab shells are common. and my neighbor found a baby seal on the beach.
i think it was rockaway when i spotted a shark about 2 years ago. not sure, maybe jones beach. But if the sharks come this shallow, then it is usually hurt and wont cause harm
Definitely a thresher shark. You can tell by the super long tail. They are completely harmless and people dive with them all the time without a cage. They eat fish, not people.
"what kind of shark is that dad??"
"probably just a sand shark"
LOL dumbass.....that's a thresher shark

obviously the shark is struggling to go back to sea. sadly, the water is pushing it to shore.
