Thanks for all your teachings/insite& most of all time... I couldn't resist... love the pants!!! Can you give me your inside secret on where I could get some similar?? Appreciate you! Andrea
Sadie, how do I keep from crashing to to the bottom when lowering into chaturanga? I get the plank position right, got my elbows at 90 degrees, but once I start lowering, I crash tummy first onto the floor rather than stopping midway. I end up in upward dog, not really where I want to be. any tips?
i love how you explain the physics of the positions. i'm not really a "spatial" learner, but getting a more in-depth, physical explanation really helps! now i just need that on my side plank pose!!!! :)
Thanks to your pointers I only had mini-scootches and even some scootch-free poses at today's class. I feel more confident and I enjoyed a freer momentum in my movements and breathing. You're a blessing. Namaste!
I do that "scootch of shame" in class, and have never been able (in my 6 weeks of yoga class) to figure out what people are doing to avoid it. Your explanation is clear and I can follow the advice. I can't wait to go to yoga tomorrow, scootch-free! Thank you so much, I'm glad I found your page!
Thank you Sadie! I was struggling with lowering from the plank pose yesterday and have learned alot from this and your other videos. I also love your sense of humor and how your videos are fun and educational at the same time. Do you have any tips for how to make your hamstrings more flexible? I can't seem to get my heels to the floor when I do the downward facing dog pose.
Hi there--so glad to hear all of this--thanks! And congrtulations on your learning curve;) Do my back body stretch video and my inner thigh opener, plus the pigeon pose and the wall work. Then try the splits. In no time, this will open your legs...just go slow and never strain if you're feeling it behind your knees or under your rear end--this is a sign of overstretching. Heel slightly lifted in Dog is good--gives your legs somewhere to stretch, so don't worry--use it to your advantage. xoSadie
