Ok. I just tried it and I think the inkjet transfer paper I am using is simply of inferior quality. I mean I had the iron as hot as it would get and was pressing down for a good minute on all sides and even attempted to do it over by repressing the same paper and nothing. I think the problem may be the brand inkjet paper, so could you tell me the EXACT kind of inkjet transfer paper you used?
Yes, you can use almost any Inkjet Printer Ink. However, for longer lasting results, use inks that are pigmented. Water based inks will fade much quicker.
@printonit Ok so does your establishment sell the paper that can perform the task - or what paper do you suggest, if any. Also thank you for your help .
@DylanFrederickTVi tried to transfer a whole photo A4 but the middle part didn't stick and got ripped off.... I'll try again I hope is not the paper I got :/
Hi Dr. I have a question, i bought some transfer paper, and try to print it, but the images to print seens to "split". for example i printed a bear for my daughter, and you see the brown form and around the half, of the image started to print the borders and details. why is this? i printed using the microsoft office picture manager and a hp laser 1600 printer. Could you help me? some tips to avoid it?? Greetings from switzerland!!!
would this application be o.k. to make exterior signs or plaques if I was to put an exterior grade finish on top of it would it last or do you not recommend it.
i believe I saw the rectangular outline of the transfer ghostly applied on the wood. Is this perminant? Must one cut out the design completely before ironing? Basically is there a way around this so that you can have a true decoupage affect? This is the closest to the effect I want which is an easy way for creating decoupage effects on wood without time consuming cut out efforts. toothpick thin designs are a challenge when it comes to applying designs to wood. I would appreciate your thoughts
HELL YEAH MAN!!! I have been customizing guitars for about 4 years and I have always wanted to put a sweet design on them but my designs have always been limited (I learned how to play guitar not draw on them!) Now my option are limitless! Thanks DR. Injet you have saved me from boring stencil designs!
