  • Dude how did you set this up? Guitar rig is not picking up the midi i play with my keyboard! PLEASE HELP!

  • @popdani Guitar Rig is not an instrument: it's an effects processor. It can only use MIDI to control effects, not to play a sound. You must route audio (ex. from your keyboard) to it.

  • @maxwellaran ah thnx, it came with komplete so i had to check it out!

  • @popdani Take any instrument from that and route the audio to Guitar Rig (using a DAW, etc.) and it should work.

  • no one could ever replace guitar on a keyboard, the guitar is just a natural instrument you cant replace

  • @ekalb2185

Of course no one could ever replace a real guitar....

But close your eyes and check out this guy, Matt Guillory \m/

  • hi there nice demo you got here...!!! can your midi keyboard do a hammer, slide or slide down effect like a real guitar do?

  • i have been trying to get guitar rig 4 to work with my midi keyboard with no luck help!

  • pure horror

  • thanks for the video. i'm considering buying RealStrat to fill in a few parts in the album that i'm recording, and i already have Guitar Rig. this was just what i was looking for.

and as a fellow synth + guitar player, i can see your dilemma. it's hard to describe when to throw in hammer-ons and pull-offs.. you actually have to spend time playing guitar and listening to music (which i'm sure you do plenty of) to get that figured out. but you did a great job nonetheless, and again, thank you!

  • why doesnt this sound like dr ryman if your using the same sofware?

  • I'm not using any articulations, whereas he's using them constantly.

  • i have both realstrat and guitar rig,can you tell me how i can use em together so i can get the sound you have on this video? thanx

  • Same question ;O im using FL studios

  • Are you using Fruity Loops, by any chance?

  • Not bad xD

  • it still kinda sounds to midi like and not authentic, i dont think no one will ever get a processed guitar sound without an actual guitar!

  • Well, I didn't use any articulations (ex. hammer-on's, tremolo, pitch bending, etc). Go look up Keytar Jeff and Dr Ryman: they're currently the best at playing keytar.

  • ok stupid question. how do you open realstrat in sonar?? im using 7 producer edition.

  • It's a plug-in, so you'll need to Insert it. It'll be a VSTi plug-in, under MusicLab.

If it doesn't appear there, then make sure RealStrat has installed the VSTi in your plug-in folder and re-scan the folder in Cakewalk.

  • how on earth do you route realstrat to sonar? i've been trying and i have no clue how to do this at all.

  • I open RealStrat in Sonar. And then I apply Guitar Rig as an audio effect to the output of RealStrat.

  • sounds pretty good. i have some ideas that could improve the authenticy.

what tweaks did you set on real guitar?

  • Absolutely none. I just set it to Solo mode and let fly.

  • how to use guitar rig with realstrat in keyboard controller ??

  • Realstrat is obviously a MIDI application, so the keyboard interfaces natively with that.

However, you need to route the audio from Realstrat to Guitar Rig somehow: I personally use Sonar, but any sampler should be able to do it.
