So many memories... this was my first game too. Not only Pokémon game, but first game at all. I remember it all... my lv. 100 Typhlosion, n00bishly filled with HM moves because kid-me thought it was a good idea. Visiting my friend every day in summer vacation just to play and link Pokémon, having to borrow her GBC(I had a GBA) for mystery gift linking.

I know I would play it again if the save file wasn't corrupted... just happy to have HG/SS for bringing back some of my memories from Johto.

@Chaletica I can relate to 80% of that post. This was my first game, I had a level 100 Typhlosion, and his moveset was something like Fire Blast, Rock Smash, Strength, and then Ember because I liked the animation. Then one day as a kid, it died. My very first game died on me, but I'll never forget those memories. Especially with half of my family being into it as well. Now they've all moved on, but if I ask if they remember they always do. You may move on in life, but memories always stay.

@DarkLuigi4321 even thought it was stupid, think of it this way, by now the battery in the game has already died even if you did keep it, i personally still have my copy of pokemon silver but the game doesnt do me any good unless i replace the battery and that's only if i am good with a soldering gun to be able to do it without harming the game

but, i guess its good to keep for nostalgia's sake

I personally prefer the pokemon movements in crystal. In the newer games, the movements are very static as opposed to crystal, were the pokemon have a more natural movement.

You can play as a female. There's a new sub-quest that involves Suicune. Both Lugia and Ho-oh are available after you get to Kanto. A Battle Tower was added. The Burned Tower was remodeled. The intro scene with Prof. Elm giving you your starter was slightly extended,the pokemon are animated in battle, a few towns were slightly changed, the name of an area is displayed when you visit it, some trainers were moved, some routes were changed slightly and some new radio shows were added.
