A great video, however however the Japs should be able to do reserch and help feed their population. If SS are pirates then they should be hunted down and treated as pirates. If they chose to put themselves at risk that is of no bother to any one but to risk the lives of other nations civilians is one defition of piracy. yes, that's why Japan has followed the moratorium of commercial whaling adopted by IWC.
However, the current whaling is strictly regualated and managed under IWC in terms of the number s and rtypes of whles which would not adversely affect the conservatiioonof whales.
With this severe management, the fishing is different from the normal large amount of fishing. There is no scientific base for restricting the whale catch as "zero".
The design of mother nature was such that mankind could not kill whales until recently when through industrialization and commercial corporate science we have devastated the balance of nature. It is not just human arrogance but total disregard to harmonious co-existence on planet Earth by Mankind. Anyone who is against SSCS obviously has issues or jumps to conclusions about the racist stuff. They're not racist. It's just that the Japanese GOVERNMENT not the ENTIRE NATION is killing 1,000's of SENTIENT beings, just like the Faeroese who have been killing over 100,000 pilot whales in the Danish Faroe Islands. Since its inception the SSCS has sunk at minimum 10 ships, those which are polluting he seas and killing off creatures that the whales eat.
SSCS had land donated to them at a value of $325,000 then sold the land for 1.2 million and sold it 2 months later with no alteration done and claimed a $825,000 lose in te sale. Some nice facts.

What Sea Shepherd won't tell you is that Japan is well within it's legal rights to hunt whales. They are given permission by the International Whaling Commission to take 1,000 whales from the sea yearly
900 are the NON-endangered minke whale, 50 humpback, and 50 fin whales.
Talk to the International Whaling Commission if this is a problem for you. They are the ones who are in charge of policing the antartic.

Even if that means stabbing 25,000 dolphins to death each year or harpooning 1,000 whales. Whale hunt in a quite small number uder strict management does not harm the conservation of whale.
It is said that cow raising emits huge amout of greehouse gas and adversely affect the environment.

it contributes but it is not the only thing that leads to greenhouse gas, you can't point the finger at one thing and say that causes the problem. Many factors play a role, like the forests that are burned down, cars we drive, etc. Also, there are many conservationist groups, some that specialize in certain areas. In my opinion S.S. is too extreme and they should be careful about how they approach situations and on that note, so should the Japanese whalers

Ady Gil skipper Pete Bethune boarded the Shonan Maru # 2 and was hiding on top of the wale house tell dawn, than he knocked on the door and a crew member came out and tried shooing him away so he opened the door and walked in thats the last we have heard of captain Pete Bethune, hopefully he is safe.

Sea Shepherd and its supporter should know that you are nothing but the terrlist.

yes, that's why Japan has followed the moratorium of commercial whaling adopted by IWC.
However, the current whaling is strictly regualated and managed under IWC in terms of the number s and rtypes of whles which would not adversely affect the conservatiioonof whales.
With this severe management, the fishing is different from the normal large amount of fishing. There is no scientific base for restricting the whale catch as "zero".

Why those people who opposed to whaling do not hesitate to kill our culture? Maybe they are preoccupied with the idea that their culture are so superior that they can dictate us.
There is no difference between eating whales and eating pigs, beef and chikens. And Japanese whaling is only targeted to the type of whale whose numbers are increasing. Sustainable use of sea resources should be maintained.

There is not an abundance of whales like there are cattle & other more commonly eaten meat. Whales -as all animals- play a vital role in the "circle of life" (maintaining a balance in all life on the planet--plants & animals).

whale main food is a Krill, which is a food for small fishes. that cause decreasing a number of small fish, that cause decreasing of bigger fishes.
