I'm thinking about getting this camera and I'd like to ask you some questions.
How do you like the low light? It does seem like a very nice image for the most part. Your impressions? Do you get rolling shutter in fluorescent lights? That's a prob with the EX1 (my top choice for the 1/2" chips). Have you used the compact flash adapter?
Can you over crank using a tape or do you need the Compact flash adaptor?
I just got a couple of the Z5us and the Flash Recorder. Low light is good at about 1.5 or 2 lux. There is a "deflicker" setting that reduces flouro-flicker. The Flash recorder is great! No more tapes or waiting hours to enter into NLE-now it's a few minutes for an hour of HDV. Pays for itself in just a few jobs.

I'm tossing at the moment between the same 2 camera's. The z5u and the EX1. The appeal of the 1/2" Exmor CMOS is luring me at this moment though.

I like the sound of a "deflicker" button! I've decided to go for the EX1. I'm 5/6 of the way there. Both of these cameras are way cool.
