Kobi has built up so much good karma, he is going to walk out out of there and continue saving lives. Accidents happen, if he was surfing out there for three hours as the news reports said, he was expert enough, it was just a case of a bad confluence of events. Kobi, good luck.
Kobi has always been a decent person. Started off as a nipper at Bronte Surf Club. Has helped a lot a people over the years. I hope he receives some assistance. The swell on Sunday was predominately East North East. That made it even more critical than usual.

@colindominy I agree. His huge ego overode common sense to try to surf in those conditions. Just heard on the news that his medical bills are piling up. I bet by the end of the week there will be a charity running to help him out.
