We really don't know what he meant. The topic of discussion is the new president and his agenda. Jan. 21st is the day that Obama will be officially inaugurated. He may have been speaking figuratively about the prez transition being the "crisis" in question.

A couple of corrections - it was Harper who requested that Parliament shut down. The request itself is a formality that they go through at the opening and closing of all Parliaments. This time it was a pre-emptive move by Harper as his govt was about to be toppled by a coalition, so he closed it a bit before it would normally close for the holidays. The govt itself doesn't shut down, just the roomful of politicians who argue daily, ha ha.

I believe all the high-level government officials, including Powell & Obama, are puppets of an insane international elite. But in this interview, I think Powell is just referring to foreign nations' reactions to a new US President in general, not anything specific. Of course he said Jan 21st or 22nd, that's the beginning of the Obama Administration. He's not referring to them as specific dates on which a crisis will occur, but as the beginning of a new admin. that others will want to test.

I could understand if it is a setup, and is actually being planned by the shadow government. But then, why mention it at all? How does that further their agenda? Witness the discarding of Posse Comitatus, which was intended to prohibit the U.S. military from acting on U.S. soil. But if this is so, why did Colin Powell say anything about this? Tax breaks sound great, but considering 40% of Americans pay absolutely no income tax now, a handout from Obama to people who don't contribute is WELFARE.
Thats 40% Americans who contribute NOTHING for the millitary, education, roads, government, judicial system or anything else they take full advantage of, who will get rewarded with a big fat check couresy of the other 60% of us that work hard and contribute. Sad that this country is turning to socialist welfare rather than hard work.
