encore had some of the most epic songs in it like Mockingbird and toy soldiers but I agree overall the album wasnt that good. Same with relapse...I had 2-3 songs that I liked....I liked 1 of the refill album...now he had a new freestyle called "despicable" also another single called "not afraid" and he featured on anothers ong calls "airplanes" with b.o.b......I think recovery is going to be the shit again like the LP

Relapse was A LOT better than his last album, but it is still not even close to his first 2 albums. The best song on Relapse is "Underground". It was decent to me...nothing crazy. You're right though...Encore is garbage.

Relapse was genius, His voices on the album were amazing, He's lyrics weren't as powerful well they lacked Eminem's witty punchlines, It was a good album over all I would consider it a B+ but considering Hip-Hop at the time it was A- worthy.

Lyrically, he can still proove it by the song Underground Déja Vu, 3AM and Beautiful.
I think overall, Relpase is slightly better than Encore.

Encore was not Garbage... Way to fall into what the public says who didn't even listen to Encore really. Classic Songs On Encore;
Never Enough, Like Toy Soldiers, Mosh, Puke, Mockingbird, one shot 2 shot, etc.
Now the album is no where close to his previous 3 (mmlp,sslp,Eminem Show) Which are all considered classic albums but to say it's a garbage album is ignorant.
Anyway, Relapse was a terriffic album a stop up from encore but not a classic album like the first 3.
4.5/5 Stars for relapse.

....and I was gonna say Relapse is more of a comedic side of him as well, but some of the shit like Underground was just straight spittin hardcore shit, and it was more of him reintroducing himself with songs like My Mom and Insane, but then you got songs like 3AM, Stay Wide Awake, Same Song and Dance, Must Be The Ganja, and on Refill, you got Buffalo Bill and Music Box which are serial killer songs which are by far for me the funniest shit ever haha, come on how can that not be funny? All of his Cds are in different categories, to me they are all pretty much equal and I could never decide which I like better, but right now Relapse and Relapse: Refill is what I'm bumpin since it's the newest, I do go back to the old days like MMLP and SSLP every so often, plus Eminem Show wasn't really serious as someone stated, it was funny if you take it on a sarcasm note, Encore was just more of the comedic side of him and him getting writer's block so he just jotted anything down haha
