It amkes me sad to see how lost you are. Men twist and interpit thing to use them against other people. If someone is a true christian they will strive to model christ. Clearly by commiting an act of hate in the name of God is just a conterdictorary statment if you read the bible. When God says he will protect you... and you used the 911 attack as a parralel, it might not nessasaraly always be in the physical form. (send message to inbox if you wish for me to continue explaining the topic)
@TheDrSuda No not lost, just very open minded to all possibilities. I haven't read the bible from page to page, if I were then I'd have to read another and then another just to try an catch up on the different versions of events that are listed in there. If you watch the video you'll see that I have actually defended "God" in the monotheistic sense. Yes commiting an act of hate in the name of God goes against the bible yet his name has been used so many times in when trying to justify war...
I would just like to say that I don't think any God would want anyone to kill people. I think it is just people out of hate of someone or something that has clouded their mind to the right thing. Then they say it was the God's saying just becuase they are scared of what people may do to them. War is just started by mentally-ill people and it scares some of us so, we stereotype the people and blame out of fear. That is what I think, Peace.
@schoolfanatic Correct, I don't think God wants people to be hurt either but to start a war and try to justify it in the name of any God is just wrong. We all have choices to make and only we can make those choices but some tend to blames others when those choices have turned out to be the wrong ones.
One point for Pagan we never went to war in the name of are gods we simply killed / mostly christians in the years they spread through central europe
(Pagans are really the fallen heros who attempted to stop christians and because of Pagan vikings we got through the dark ages that the christians started)
@allthingswicca Thanks xD first time i posted something in a movie like these that a christian dident insult me for it
you also failed to mention how christianity suppresed scienitific advancement i heard it in a documentry a famus guy (galilao) or maybe somone else had to make a secret order of scientists because all others where being killedd
Also their was the Salome witch trials killed alot of smart innocent women
And the exstermination of the Aztecs and Mayan nation and religion
@Azaell92 Ahem... I'm not Christian, I'm a Pagan White Witch.
I doubt that the Mayans were exterminated, there is more of a chance that they were wiped out due to environmental issues such as massive droughts that occured at the time which of course we know about though extensive studies of the area and the rituals that were perfomed by them for the Gods.
I could have mentioned a lot more about this subject but how do you fit it all in? Maybe I should do a part 2...
@allthingswicca ((I know but first reply is usaly a christians insult))
You should make a second and a majorty of what happend to the mayans and aztecs was mass murder done by the christians not to mention their writeings and work where whiped out due to christians deeming it the devils work and the european desiease they brought over also helped what they did for their god was childs play compaired to what chritians did to people who followed their own gods Christians so much torture
@Azaell92 Lmfao you need to learn a bit of history Vikings where not pirates but yes raiders who raped and burnt down churches they where a pagan people who left their homeland for better finding but what people in that time did not rape and murder But when they went and settled in places like Brittianna the Christian Saxons called holy war and murderd them and yes the Christians caused the dark ages but because of VIking raiding and their tradeing of many things from many countrys helped endit
"we never went to war in the name of are gods we simply killed / mostly christians in the years they spread through central europe"
Erm Pagan Europe has had many religious wars many Norse killed in the name of Thor, The Romans went to war because Caesar apparently thought Mars would lead his empire to victory(which it did) every tribe was at war with each other what you think Celts, Germanics, Slavs, Romans and Greeks were best friends? because they weren't
@RoadWarriorCainann no i think your mistakeing Holy war With war they tributed to their gods
When a pagan tribe like say the saxons won a war they would sacrafice animals To their gods and thank them for victory and survival that was natural for pagans
When the christians went to war they would preach it is gods will a war god wishes to be faught that god wishes Death apon a religion or nation
@Azaell92 And not only that the Vikings who settled in Gaul converted to Christianity and became quite loyal to Rome, And the Viking age ended 3 centuries before the Dark Age ended
@RoadWarriorCainann i have no doubt to that christianity invaded most pagan cultures and vikings eventualy became christians hehe such a shame on another note i seen your profile why not try protecting celtic cutlure from people who arent celtic would be smart
@Azaell92 There's one thing you gotta remember even if Christianity didn't become the primary religion Europeans would still be at each others throats.
"i seen your profile why not try protecting celtic cutlure from people who arent celtic would be smart"
And thats why I put every wiccan,Neo-Druids,Neo-Pagan in their place if anyone is hurting Celtic culture its them along with plastic paddies of course.
@RoadWarriorCainann i think your mixing a cluture and its religion to much i dont agree with the new age wiccans pagans and druids much either but i am pagan i just dont follow any of the organised groups but to bash them that dosent really do justice for celts and just makes us look bad they chose it because its what they believe in what makes them happy so accept it
"i think your mixing a cluture and its religion to much "?
How so? Celts, Germanics, Slavs, Balts, Greeks & Romans never got along much and never would
"but to bash them that dosent really do justice for celts "
Hey you're the one who said I should protect Celtic culture which I am from those people and why should I accept a group who are bastardizing my peoples traditions?
"who attempted to stop christians and because of Pagan vikings we got through the dark ages that the christians started"?
What the fuck are you talking about? Do you actually think Vikings were out to save Pagans from Christianity? they were Pirate Raiders who burnt down monasteries and raped the native women and the crusades were carried out by not only the Franks but also the Normans and what were they again? VIKING descendants! seriously learn a bit of history
@RoadWarriorCainann Vikings where raiders yes but not pirates hehe they left their country because it wasent that great they went to find new homes and because of their major raids they had taken caused better merchant tradeing and other stuff which helped in the dark ages caused by greedy churches ^^
maybe you need to look up history not christian written history books either
@Azaell92 "other stuff which helped in the dark ages caused by greedy churches"
That's odd because they burnt down monasteries and raped our women and sacrificed many people in the name of Thor, they along with their descendants the Normans have done nothing but a bane to my country. And not only that the Norwegian Vikings fought the Danish Vikings over the land and they fought the Anglo-Saxons over the crown in Britain
@RoadWarriorCainann well the normans might have been descendants but they werent pagan, as they wouldnt have resided in anglo saxon england and butchered almost all of the pagan populace during their rule.
@SaxonWR They butchered anyone that got in their way on their conquest for power, just like their ancestors the Vikings did the same in Normandy two centuries earlier. Also The Anglo-Saxons were already Christian before the Normans or Vikings came to the British Isles
@RoadWarriorCainann I woudl have to agree with Azaell92 on this one, especially as it's in context with the video and my original argument. Yes Pagan tribes did fight and kill etc, we all have fights & fall out all the time, the only difference is our weapons are more advanced these days. Just as I pointed out in the video, Christians & those of single God religions such as Islam have a tendency to say that it was in the name of God. Even Bush's 9/11 speach was said to have been a God-Drenched..
@allthingswicca So if that were the case then why aren't the US & The UK nuclear wastelands then? Since if Muslims are so into killing in the name of god then why aren't they killing everyone right now?
"Even Bush's 9/11 speach was said to have been a God-Drenched.."
So? he had his army invade Iraq over "Weapons Of Mass Destruction" but then later admitted it was oil they were after. The man knew how to bullshit his way into getting what he wanted.
@RoadWarriorCainann But Muslim extremists are, never heard of Jihad? Just don't let them or the Iraqs get their hands on nukes. It's always been over oil, even Britains war of the Falkands was over oil, it had nothing to do with the people of the island. 9/11 as well as Pearl Harbour were both setup by the American government as a way of bringing them into the war, whatever war it happens to be at the time. 9/11 won't be the last we see either...
@allthingswicca Extremists come in every form. Whether they be Christian, Muslim, Pagan, Jew etc. As for nukes, they all should be destroyed, America especially should surrender their Nuclear arms but they won't and if they continue to get in the faces of the likes of Russia then say hello to Chernobyl part II. Even if Sellafield exploded it would take out both Ireland & Britain but you don't see your government shutting it down now do you?
@allthingswicca As for Pearl Harbour, Einstein thought The Manhattan Project was a great thing that happened but then later realized what he done. But anyone with that kind of weaponry would use it to their advantage. Hell if the likes of Genghis Khan had a weapon of such power he would of gladly used it. Don't forget all the bastard leaders that were "Christian" also killed a fair few Christians in their time
"Yes Pagan tribes did fight and kill etc, we all have fights & fall out all the time"
Our ancestors would act no different if they were alive today, also look at Ásatrú and see how they would kill in the name of Odin. Hell many would sacrifice Wiccans if they caught them wearing Mjöllnir. You can act like Christianity is the problem but in reality its the people.
@RoadWarriorCainann LOL, many Catholics would still sacrifice Pagans if they caught them wearing a pentagram let alone a Mjöllnir. I'm not saying that Christianity is the problem on it's but single God religions for which Christianity and Islam are the two main culprits for raising wars in the name of God... As it's been said before, yes there have been many Pagan wars and killings but as far as I'm aware never in the name of a God, or even Goddess...
@allthingswicca Erm yes they have The Vikings destroyed monasteries, raped and killed native Irish when colonizing Dublin, Limerick, Waterford, Wexford & Cork in the name of Thor. Caesar did it, The Goths did it, Spartans also did it.
"many Catholics would still sacrifice Pagans if they caught them wearing a pentagram"
Kind of like when Nero used to Persecute Christians? and its funny I don't see any Catholic sacrificing anyone wearing a Pentacle.
@RoadWarriorCainann There r sooo many kind of pagans and ur sterotyping .. hmmmm we learn from the mistakes made by our ancestors... u think we will butcher ppl... if we do , i will hve slashed u into a zillion pieces alrdy..
@d3vilnaruto " we learn from the mistakes made by our ancestors"? And what mistakes were they? my ancestors had a better system back then than people now. And kid you could try and slash me into a zillion pieces but you'd fail miserably and the fact you follow this neo-pagan bollocks really doesn't say much. And for the record
" u think we will butcher ppl"
hardly since you all rather bitch about Christianity and I meant real pagans not you new age types
i totally agree that the killing in the name of God is senseless. But i would say judge a religion on its teachings not on how people live that religion. The Christian crusades can't ever be justified. But i would say show me anywhere in the new testament that it justifies all of this killing, we all know Jesus's stance on loving your enemy and offerring the other cheek when someone strikes you
@30760005 Agree also, but one of the benefits of following the Pagan path is that we don't have a book full of re-written hypocrisy to follow. Just as long as we have a love for all things natural, apreciate the spirits around us, love each other and accept all others. Remember also that whatever you do bad can come back and bite you in the ass...
@allthingswicca You realize In ancient Pagan religions being a Warrior was one of the main teachings right? hell what do you think the Ancient Bretons did when the Romans invaded? you didn't think Boudica made her army leave the Roman soldiers to beg for life? they sacrificed them to Camulos. Also the Vikings killed a fair number in the name of Odin. Pagan Europe did not believe in pacifism
@allthingswicca : and another thing ... Taking a fossil and extrapolating millions of years to getthe end results that you want is irrational. If you truly want to know what I think about evolution, message me and I'll just talk to you about it through YouTube mail (takes too many comments up)
@allthingswicca : but you need to realize that there are many different christianic beliefs. Deism is an example. However, I do not believe that species evolve into more intellectually adept species, I believe that they quite simply adapt to their environment. Observed speciation is an example of this.
@allthingswicca : I still see it as you dissecting the universe and praising the "heart"(sun) and so on. I praise God for creating the entire body, not multiple gods for what I assume is their creation. The fact is the universe is a well oiled machine, and believing that more than one god created everything would be...strange...tell me how "wiccans" interpret the universe without dissecting it...
@jordankriese I never said that "our" Gods etc created the universe. I think you'll find that Pagans/Wiccans in general give praise to the God & Goddess as well as the Deities for their strength/energy, guidence and wisdom etc. It is single God religions that tend to lean towards God created the whole universe scenario. Most of us Pagans probably swing towards the theory of evolution whereas Christians don't.
@allthingswicca : there is only one dimension that we can truly see every aspect of. God is not three dimensional, he is either the fourth or the fifth. I like to believe that he is the fifth dimension. You can ask me why if you want, but it's rather complicated...
@allthingswicca : not exactly...I do believe he is a being and created us in his "image" (cross section of him if you will). However the very fact that you think I praise the world around me? No. I praise God. I give thanks to him. Not the sun, not the stars, not the earth, but him or "it" i should say for creating all of these things.
@jordankriese Sorry but you got this last one wrong, unless you take the same religious view as I do, but I don't think so. I never refered to you praising anything other than what you believe in which is God in the biblical term...
@Jenfucius : I entirely respect your religious view. I had once been an atheist (not quite the same as you are), and am still not 100% sure of his existance. However I still have not been able to acquire the knowledge of such things. I believe the only way to truly know beyond a shadow of a doubt is by death. And I hope to be reunited with him when I do.
@Jenfucius : I still maintain my belief that the two are not the same. Confessing your sins to someone who is equally at fault for his is strange. There should be only one mediator between us and God...not many...
@allthingswicca one thing tends to be a common trend for Pagans. Personification. The thing is these exact things are the exact same proofs someone could use for the existance of God. The fact that one can take the universe and dissect it and take individual portions of the universe and praise them is kind of bizarre...no offense...
@jordankriese Personification? Do those that worship the "single" God not do the same thing? As a practising Witch I don't have something that I preach to or worship. I give thanks to spirits around me, mother nature, the sun etc. When casting spells, I have things on my alter such as fire, earth, water and air and then I ask for assistance from the spirits around me that I've called in. I never use objects to idolise, although I guess that some, do but it's not needed.
@ZekranvaGodOfDarkness : claims that Nero was a Christian. Please don't give me Pagan sources...that'd be like me giving you the gospels as evidence of Jesus...
I agree with you, last I checked there is no records what so ever that Pagans in any part of the time line start wars, and Jihads. In christianity there is wars started by christians left and right. I believe that a religion that has such violence such as christianity isnt much of a good religion. That is why I am Pagan, it is peaceful, Pagans never tried any Holy Crusades and/or killed any innocent people because the the god and goddess supposedly told them to. Paganism is great.
@ZekranvaGodOfDarknes : However, you forgot to mention Nero and his murdering of thousands of Christians. And "Crusades" is most often referring to Catholicism. Catholicism is not Christianity. Please read biblical passages before referring to what you assume is Christian. Thank you.
trust me, I know about christianity. I was once christian and I wasnt assuming catholic is christian, if I did I would have said "I assume Christianity is Catholic." so therefore with me not saying that I didnt assume. Plus Nero was a Roman Emperor and by the time he was emperor of rome, and last I checked around when Caesar was emperor Rome was already a Christianized city, so Nero must have been killin' his own people.
@ZekranvaGodOfDarknes : well one should not omit such probabilities. After all there are many instances where totalitarianistic societies had rulers that had indeed killed many of their own people.
yes, I agree. Yet Nero wasnt a Pagan/Wiccan last I checked he was either christian of catholic I may be right, I may be wrong im not gonna fight about his religion because personally I couldnt care less about his beliefs. All I know is that he wasnt pagan/wiccan. in fact, we should just quit this arguing B/C it is taking up all the comments, plus over all its just a waste of time to argue about all this.
@ZekranvaGodOfDarknes True, the fact is that many wars have been started in the name of religion, that's what this video post was initially all about. Don't trouble your Gods by saying that I do this in the name of...
yeah, plus saying you do it in the name of whatever god or goddess you worship would give their religion a bad name but worse is that it gives their God/Goddess a bad name as well. One thing that gets me is that if the deity that the person worships is all powerful, why cant that deity kill the person his/her self? Just like when you ask that if god is so powerful, why didnt he stop the planes crashing into the twin towers. they are different question but fall in the same line.
@ZekranvaGodOfDarknes Who knows why the God/Goddess doesn't step in an do something to avert distaster, or maybe it's part of the universal order of things. A bit like Final Destination, what's meant to be is what it is and trying to change the outcome only delays it. Death is nothing to fear, it's just another road that we take along the same journey. It is not the way of the deity/God/Goddess to kill...
yes, I agree. I get asked why I dont fear to die, I just say "well, it is part of life, and sooner or later I would just die anyways. So there is no point to fearing death"
@ZekranvaGodOfDarknes From my own point of view, death is nothing to be feared. We are all made of energy and from science has aleady told us energy cannot be destroyed, it can only change form. When we die here on earth we then move on to a higher level until we are re-incarnated back into living tissue, what we are now.
I agree, personally I believe that when someone dies, they will keep getting reincarnated till pretty much they use up all their lives. Though that is just my opinion alone. Just like your opinion when someone dies, you believing someone wont come back till everyone you loved has died as well is your opinion, and I take great respect in your opinion.
Myself and many others believe however that we can't come back until all of those we have loved here on earth have also moved on, I've worked out that this process can take approx 70 - 80 years.
@jordankriese So do Catholics and Christians not worship the same God? From working in a Catholic school the only division between the two that I see see is the values that either side hold IE: Catholics like to waste money on fancy robes, fancy looking cathedrals with stained glass windows etc, etc. Whereas Christians will just dress it down and just get on with the worship of God without heirs and graces.
@allthingswicca : hmmm...Matthew 23:9 comes to mind, as well as 1 Titus 2:5. These are the first to show that Catholicism does not follow the ways of Christ.
I tend to believe Catholics are Christians even though they may be considered heretical by others. (Of course the accusation of heresy between religious groups/sects/cults etc is nothing new. )
"Pagans never tried any Holy Crusades and/or killed any innocent people because the the god and goddess supposedly told them to."
That's odd because history tells otherwise, also you do realize that one of the main teaching in the ancient ethnic religions was being a warrior right? and when you killed someone in battle you would sacrifice them to your god of war. Romans did it so did the Greeks, Germanic, Slavs & even the Celts. By true "Pagan" was by no means a pacifist
Nostradamus was very heavily involved in the church. Although Catholics are not Christians, they read the Holy Bible as well as other texts. And Cayce was a self proclaimed Christian. Neither of these helped with your argument.
@jordankriese Well if you want to start dividing Catholics & Christians then I guess we must, but I suppose in themselves they are very different, if only by their way of life IE: Catholic & Protestant. And if we're going to divide them why not juts call it a single God religion and bring Islam and everything else that isn't Pagan into the whole equation too.
@allthingswicca : Catholics are not Christians lol. Please tell me if you want me to list the reasons why, based upon scripture. And if one is to divide it, how can they be the same? Makes no sense to me...and besides. You think Paganism is the right path to take. So why not include Paganism? And PS: The writer of the Q'aran had intercourse with his 9 year old male cousin, and later married him. How then can Christianity and Islam be put side by side?
@allthingswicca : but do you not believe that your gods are the gods that exist, and that our God is a false one? I've heard many claims similar to this by other Pagans
@jordankriese Any decent Pagan will tell you that you can go and believe in whichever God you want to believe in. It is not our way to denounce other Gods of other religions. You'll find it is the "single" God religions that tell you not to worship other Gods. For Christians - Thou shalt not worship false idols...
@jordankriese As for having sex with his cousin, the scriptures don't even know who Jacobs father really was. MAT 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
LUK 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli.
@allthingswicca : hmmm...you need to read into this more. I've been looking at this for quite a long time. Luke is referring to Mary, not Joseph...you must fully understand the period in time that we are talking about...and you need to read the entire bible instead of picking and prodding at specific writings. Genesis 2 : 24 refers to married men and women being one flesh.
@jordankriese "Catholics are not Christians" then neither are Protestants, Presbyterian's, Baptists, Methodists, Orthodox, or Episcopalian either then since they're all offshoots of Catholicism
Let's face it, probably every single God religion that there is out there will try and tell you that "our" God is the only God and our way is the best that there is and denounce anything else. In short that's the way it is, they all claim that their way is the one true path to God, so which one is THE right way if they all make this claim?
@jordankriese BTW, how can you say that neither Nostradamus or Cayce didn't help with my arguments? I haven't quoted them anywhere so why bring these people into the equation?
Another thing about prophecy : just because it hasn't happened yet does not mean it isn't going to happen. It took over 2000 years for Israel to be returned to the Jewish people.
@jordankriese It has already been proved that Nostradamus brought about his predictions because he realised that history has a habit of repeating itself. This is just Nostradamus being clever, people before his time would have been called prophets.
@allthingswicca : this omits the very idea of the fourth dimension. It doesn't repeat itself, but rather it edits itself, and passes another ruler the spear. "power" if you will. Or you can state exactly how history travels in circles?
I never liked Jack Van Impe. He stated biblical theories, many of which were not backed by the bible. And another example of the prophecy of the bible : Babylon. Too many examples to choose from. Are you a pagan sir? What evidence do you have to the existence of your gods? Or what exactly do you believe?
@jordankriese You ask a Pagan for proof of their Gods & Goddesses? Look around, the sun in the sky & the essence of nature for all of us to see as is the moon in the sky at night. Now jordankriese, can you prove existance of your God to me? I'm not talking about the Bible or anything that got lost in translation or re-written by mad Kings. Where is your proof? Not that I need it, I believe that you have a God the same as Pagans have theirs, we don't denounce it for it is part of our way...
1st things 1st : Jack Van Impe is NOT God. The BIBLE is God's word. 2nd : the League of Nations was also a biblical prophecy. 3rd : Joel Rosenberg was a way better example for interpreting biblical prophecy, as he had written fictional books based upon biblical prophecy and had them come true months after the books had been published.
@allthingswicca : one last thing I forgot. The people whom you choose to quote who are doing things "In the name of God" are not doing it in the name of the CHRISTIAN God. Many of these are Catholics. And Catholicism does not equal Christianity. I may have already posted this lol
As for worshiping creation... I do not denounce the Christian God since it not the way of most Pagans to denounce other religions. What is wrong with the worship of creation? After all, the sun gives us light so that the trees may grow from the mother earth. For more than 30,000 years before the birth of Christ man has worshiped the sun, earth and moon...
@allthingswicca : Idolatry. That's what's wrong. Exodus 20:3 is a very good reference here. I will not condemn you for your faults, but I will say, and this is my opinion, but idolatry is wrong. And worshipping creation is idolatry. And I need historical references to the proof that people have been worshipping the sun, earth, and moon for 30000 years. And non-pagan references to such "proofs" please.
@jordankriese We all ready have proof that ancient man worshipped the Sun, Moon and Mother Earth, you only have to look at the cave painting in France to see this proof. Instead of going to France why not just google it?
jordankriese: I have never doubted the existance of Christ, all I am saying is how can you quote verse for verse from a book that has been re-written many times over? The bible will give you a different version of events depending on which version you are reading and at which date it was re-written.
@allthingswicca : However, you may also note that the historical refereces that I use for the proof of Christ's existence had come from Pagans, one of which points towards his "marvelous works".
@allthingswicca : another thing. There were 4 books written. However, John points out one very significant point: "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written." (John 21:25). And one other thing. Different writers notice different things (ie history, emotions, etc.) This is why they were re-written.
@allthingswicca : one last thing. Look into biblical prophecy. THIS is the most significant proof for Christianity. Many prophecies (including Isreal becoming it's own nation, fulfilled in 1948) have occurred recently.
Oh I forgot. God had given man law. But if you are to read the bible, there are many instances where people turn to idolatry instead of keeping faith in God. These are writings LONG before Christ's earthly incarnation. And another thing : why do you worship creation rather than the creator?
Once again, Christianity could have only existed less than 2000 years ago, as Christ was born less than 2000 years ago. Secondly, unless you yourself had altered the sacred texts, how could you come to such conclusions? Third of all, there is non-Christian proof to the existence of Christ (2 famous historians being Josephus and Cornelius Tacitus). What about this "son of Osiris"?
Also, when you talk about the teaching of Jesus, we only have what the books tell us and as we know those book have been re-written so many times since the death of Christ himself.
As for flying planes into buildings, a lot of this is just media/governmental hype trying to blame a nation of the eastern world to bring about another war. Man did allow it to happen and they reside in the Whitehouse, but that's another topic of discussion for another time...
Jordankriese: When you say that God gave man the ability to use reason, I imagine that you are talking about the Christian God. We only got to know about the Christian God from the teachings brought about from Jesus. For thousands of years before this man, and indeed woman had the ability to reason, how do you think we survived?
Another thing. God gave man the ability to use reason. If one is to choose to run a plane into any building, it is a choice. Another question...why didn't the goddess of air alter the course of the plane? Is the air not controlled by a goddess? THAT makes no sense. The real question isn't "why didn't God stop it from happening..." the real question is "why did man allow it to happen"?
Another thing. God gave man the ability to use reason. If one is to choose to run a plane into any building, it is a choice. Well if one is to look at scripture, Jesus says love your neighbor as yourself, and love your God with all your heart soul and mind. And the whole "turn the other cheek" idea. If one is to love their neighbor as themselves, then how can one murder one that he loves? Another thing. Jesus VERY SPECIFICALLY said call no man on earth father for you have one Father who is in heaven. Catholicism doesn't equal christianity...
I think you misunderstood me, friend. I don't think it should have anything to do with race either, however I'd be a damn liar if I said my own nationalities had no influence over my own beliefs.
"Why are so many wars and killings in this world done in the name of God? "
Same can be said about Pagan Rome, Vikings, Saxons, Slavs and even Celts, every Pre-Christian polytheist ethnic had a god of war and as a matter of fact it was the Pagans that tortured Christians in the beginning, and there was no such thing as this whole "Peace and Love" hippie crap that neo-pagans like to portray also being a warrior was a major part in many of the ancient Ethnic religions
You're right, which puts Montheism and Paganism at an impass. However, I chose Paganism, specificly Asatru well, because I'm white. If it was good enough for my ancestors, it's more than good enough for me.
Laen, I accept that you have chosen the way of the Asatru but I don't think race should play a part in religion at all.
Myself being Pagan have respect for anyone regardless of colour, and following the path of Witchcraft I also appreciate that Voodoo & Hoodoo are also a craft worth a mention and this was practised in it's early years primarily by black Americans.
Well thank you for your kind comments, you're most welcome to your own opinions on the matter :o)
Tell me though, which version of the bible have you read? Is it the Hebrew version, the modern western version or one of those that was re-written by one of those mad English Kings...?
«And Fight those who have not faith in God, nor in the Hereafter, and (who) forbid not what God and His Prophet have forbidden and (who ) are not committed to the religion of truth, of those who have been brought the Book, until they pay tribute by hand, and they are the low.» (9:29)
Definition: Jihad is the Arabic for what can be variously translated as "struggle" or "effort," or "to strive," "to exert," "to fight," depending on the context.
all i can say 2 u my friend is that i congratulate u for breaking away from that hateful religion. i too was christian was i was little, but i broke away because i saw what was really going on inside the church. i first became wiccan, but i didnt entirely agree with the total non-violence thing. so, i became a druid/viking pagan. anyway, thanks for this vid. :)
may the lords of the sea and sky guide u and protect u forever.
LOL, thank you... There are many different strains of Paganisim and although it is all so different we all seem to agree with one thing, the love and respect of nature and all it's creatures...
The christian worldview of pagans is widely associated with evil connotations which there are too many to go into. The chief ones seem to be racism and facism. I doubt many christians take a look at thier own faith before judging. I mean there are plenty which you yourself have mentioned. Though I will say death is an important part of my own religion as I am an Odinist. No offence intended.
... we could go back and forth on this for the rest of time. I, along with every other pagan I know, respect and tolerate every belief and religion. Even Christianity. And there are bad apples in every bunch no matter what religion or spiritual path you associate with. So my suggestion to everyone reading this, is to just respect others' beliefs and just agree to disagree and leave each other the hell alone about it. Why hate when you can love.
As an atheist in the US, I have no love of Christian dominance. However, I do not feel the faith is evil. Try to understand those you dislike.
Christianity is a proselytizing faith, and the main belief is that a person can only be saved by accepting the Christ. With a lack of historical understanding, these people take Jesus as the one and only claimant to this title - and in accordance with their beliefs they are trying to do good and help you.
I like your attitude verbosity. Christians honestly believe that their friends and loved ones are going to eternal suffering if they aren't 'saved." So, some Christians are acting out of love and concern when they proselytize.
I am moving away from Christianity parly because I don't agree with proselytization of others. But I understand why Christians act as they do. I don't agree, but I understand
There is war because there is evil. God didn't create evil. God created all this good and man s selfish desires made things evil. Maybe if you read the bible you would have a closer relationship with God. That's all he wants..
How can God want all this for man when the Bible was written by man in the first place, and which version of the Bible are you referring to? I have seen at least three versions of the Bible and they all say something different about the same thing.
I am neither asking you to or need you to prove anything, like I said. The bible has been re-written many times over so how can anyone these days including yourself regard the Bible as a useful & acurate point of reference? You'll also find that the Bible used by Catholics is different to that used by Christians yet both religious societies worship exactly the same God. So please don't ask me to read the Bible in order to have a closer relationship with God when it's littered with contradictions
Not all wars are evil. Some wars are ones of self defense. Those wouldn't be evil.
If all God wants is us to have a closer relationship with the divine then what does it matter what name that we call God. It shouldn't matter if we address God as Allah, Buddha, Isis, Venus or any assortment of names.
As someone like myself who is trying to follow the old ways as a Pagan you have to understand that I don't denounce the "One God" belief system but those who follow that system of only one God are told by the teachings of the Bible that there can only be one and that all others are either non important or don't really exist. And it's true, there are a lot of wars out there that start off as self defense, in the vid I talk about Holy wars that happen in the name of God and that's wrong.
Because allah, buddha, and the others you named are gods of other religions. So yes it does matter, depending on who you worship. If you were buddist you wouldnt pray to jesus?
So can anyone explain Paganism, I got my shit rocked by Zeitgeist a couple years ago. I'm agnostic now and I want to take a look at all the different religions.
The Bible is a good book, at least most of it is. Some of it is a little wrong in my opinion. It seems the less people read the Bible, the more they try to interpret it, thus we get these pointless "Holy Wars".
The reason that those planes crashed into the twin towers is there isn't that all powerful all knowing god.
As for pagans the only wars/battles/raids I can think of are the viking raids.....but hey.....what comes around, goes around and we norse sought revenge for the countless deaths the christians inflicted.
the planes crashing into the twin towers thing, it was claimed by muslim terrorists iirc, so why do you mention it on a 'paganism vs christianity' vid ? oh, and btw, there were pagan persecutions against christians in the first centuries of christianity.
Nero wasn't the only oppressor of the christians. Domitianus was also a christian hater. That's why it's called 'The persecution age'. If it were only in the timespan of a single reign, it would've been something else. But this argue isn't going anywhere, we should leave it as it is. You can believe in whatever deity you wish to believe, and I'll stick to my God. peace
It's sad that persecution still goes on. It's funny, there is a book in our school that the kids are taught from, it teaches about every religion you can think of, Hindu, Muslim etc but there is no mention of Paganism, Native American Indians or any other earth related religion. It's surpirsing too when I discover so many kids that attend who are not religious towards Catholic or Christian, this of course just makes it easier to teach them the other side of life.
Agreed, I teach in a Catholic school as a full time supply teacher. Last week I had to teach a History lesson to a bunch of year 8 kids, I used my time to "educate" them about bonfire night actually belonging to the Celts/Pagans a long time before it was transfered over to Nov 5th as bonfire night. This of course moved on to Catholics/Christians "stealing" other dates from our Pagan calender and calling it their own, Chrismas included. LOL, I'll lose my job one of these days...
Thank you Wiccan Raven, I agree that wars were around long before the land was dominated by Christianity, you only have to look at all the wars that took place over the years for England, and it's throne.
But the Christians (Protestant) and more importantly the Roman Catholics who were and always have been greedy wanted everything their way. I'm not opposed to the Christain or any other single God religion, I just hate it when certain factions use it as an excuse to start wars & defend it.
I understand what you said. There has to be more than what the bible says. I've read most of the bible in search of the truth. This further proves that I should try this idea. But I do not completely understand it.
but i respect ur beliefs, but respect also my beliefs please and dont try convert me,,and as u said,if i wanted their ways,i would go to them for guidance, and not to have this every weekend at my door..i dont like been forced into something im not comfortable with..why do these people have the right to do this to us..u dont see Pagans or Wiccans going to ppls houses, stopping them from closing th door and pushing our beliefs onto others..BB )0(
Hi there,i found your vids, and watched them,i decided to comment on this one on ur last statment, which i have always said,to these people insist knocking on my door every weekend with their little pamplets..first was jehovas, but last week,we now started havin the mormons round, trying to convert me...not gonna happen ! i say,im Wiccan and happy on my path,...
I tend to agree, Paganism to some people these days may be just looked upon as a symbol of fashion, everybody else is doing it so why not, makes it a bit shallow sometimes. In order for the New Ager's out their to gain any ground they need to look back at the roots of it all as far back as we can go to truly understand it. Same can be said about Witchcraft & the new age term, Wicca. Don't get involved because everyone else is doing it, feel & gain a connection with the old ways & go with it.
Christianity is quite destructive to the masculine spirit as well. Christianity is a Roman religion in origin and as such I hold that against it as well. I find modern paganism quite the bore and when looking closely at most of it, it is found lacking in historical veracity. Meaning simply a good majority of the things I see and hear espoused are so much modern made up on the spot drivel. I find modern paganism to be just about as emasculating and silly as Christianity. Blessed Be! Good grief...
omg i love your video!! you made everything reasonable! i hope a christian was watching this then they would notice that they're religion can be cruel SOMETIMES!! even though my friends are christian and catholic im talking about those ignoratn christians and catholics not the ones who are not blind!
You know what, I never thought that this video would ever claim as much attention as it already has, and it's only my 4th video here on youtube. Keep the comment rolling in... :o)
oh i soo love this video hehheeh.. specially the part when u say "die in the name of the mother and father ehehhehhahahahahaha" dam thats like the best slap on these mindless bibel thumpung and quran thumping cousin humping zombies.......mindless ppl... .. nice work man ... heheh blessings from anubis... the light in the dark ..
I enjoyed your video. It is a shame to me that we can't coexist, afterall Christianity has Pagan DNA. I am at peace with my path but it took 32 years for me to really grasp what I was searching for. I always had the inner peace but was confused by Christian beliefs. I honestly feel the bible is a great history lesson and fantastic book of law but too much has been left out for me to comfortably say I support it 100%. So much blood has been shed since there has been 'one' God. Blessed be~
I agree that there has been too much blood that's been spilt concerning any religion that supports the one God theory.
This one actually made me silently laugh to myself the other day. I work in a RC school and only last week they celebrated LENT and another teacher talked about Saul who of course persecuted any and all that dared follow the path of Christanity, this is of course befor God supposedly changed his ways to which then he was known as St Paul.
Wars happen because people cause cause wars in the nam eof what ever God they belive in. I have peagan and chirstian beliefs and i agree with parts of what you are saying but the towers had to happen to get the world ready for the one world government that will eventually happen it is heading that way. I will put up a blog on my myspace to further explain my ideas ans theroies.
Body: Texxe Marrs, Troy Lawence are 2 man who discover their evil secrets about globilisation of antichrist and the murder of who will not take the microchip=mark of the beast!!!!
ONE BOOK OF THEM SAY: The mysterius mark of New Age
they cooperate with spirits that they are appeared to be spirits of light
I am sooo sorry world.... This guy knows nothing .......

@SAWgunnerfromHELL Would you care to explain your comment about me knowing nothing?
allthingswicca 5 months ago
It amkes me sad to see how lost you are. Men twist and interpit thing to use them against other people. If someone is a true christian they will strive to model christ. Clearly by commiting an act of hate in the name of God is just a conterdictorary statment if you read the bible. When God says he will protect you... and you used the 911 attack as a parralel, it might not nessasaraly always be in the physical form. (send message to inbox if you wish for me to continue explaining the topic)
TheDrSuda 1 year ago
@TheDrSuda No not lost, just very open minded to all possibilities. I haven't read the bible from page to page, if I were then I'd have to read another and then another just to try an catch up on the different versions of events that are listed in there. If you watch the video you'll see that I have actually defended "God" in the monotheistic sense. Yes commiting an act of hate in the name of God goes against the bible yet his name has been used so many times in when trying to justify war...
allthingswicca 1 year ago
I would just like to say that I don't think any God would want anyone to kill people. I think it is just people out of hate of someone or something that has clouded their mind to the right thing. Then they say it was the God's saying just becuase they are scared of what people may do to them. War is just started by mentally-ill people and it scares some of us so, we stereotype the people and blame out of fear. That is what I think, Peace.
schoolfanatic 1 year ago
@schoolfanatic Correct, I don't think God wants people to be hurt either but to start a war and try to justify it in the name of any God is just wrong. We all have choices to make and only we can make those choices but some tend to blames others when those choices have turned out to be the wrong ones.
allthingswicca 1 year ago
One point for Pagan we never went to war in the name of are gods we simply killed / mostly christians in the years they spread through central europe
(Pagans are really the fallen heros who attempted to stop christians and because of Pagan vikings we got through the dark ages that the christians started)
Azaell92 1 year ago
@Azaell92 Very good point indeed :o)
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca Thanks xD first time i posted something in a movie like these that a christian dident insult me for it
you also failed to mention how christianity suppresed scienitific advancement i heard it in a documentry a famus guy (galilao) or maybe somone else had to make a secret order of scientists because all others where being killedd
Also their was the Salome witch trials killed alot of smart innocent women
And the exstermination of the Aztecs and Mayan nation and religion
Azaell92 1 year ago
@Azaell92 Ahem... I'm not Christian, I'm a Pagan White Witch.
I doubt that the Mayans were exterminated, there is more of a chance that they were wiped out due to environmental issues such as massive droughts that occured at the time which of course we know about though extensive studies of the area and the rituals that were perfomed by them for the Gods.
I could have mentioned a lot more about this subject but how do you fit it all in? Maybe I should do a part 2...
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca ((I know but first reply is usaly a christians insult))
You should make a second and a majorty of what happend to the mayans and aztecs was mass murder done by the christians not to mention their writeings and work where whiped out due to christians deeming it the devils work and the european desiease they brought over also helped what they did for their god was childs play compaired to what chritians did to people who followed their own gods Christians so much torture
Azaell92 1 year ago
@Azaell92 Lmfao you need to learn a bit of history Vikings where not pirates but yes raiders who raped and burnt down churches they where a pagan people who left their homeland for better finding but what people in that time did not rape and murder But when they went and settled in places like Brittianna the Christian Saxons called holy war and murderd them and yes the Christians caused the dark ages but because of VIking raiding and their tradeing of many things from many countrys helped endit
Azaell92 1 year ago
@Azaell92
RoadWarriorCainann 1 year ago
@RoadWarriorCainann no i think your mistakeing Holy war With war they tributed to their gods
When a pagan tribe like say the saxons won a war they would sacrafice animals To their gods and thank them for victory and survival that was natural for pagans
When the christians went to war they would preach it is gods will a war god wishes to be faught that god wishes Death apon a religion or nation
significant diffrences in this
Azaell92 1 year ago
@Azaell92 And not only that the Vikings who settled in Gaul converted to Christianity and became quite loyal to Rome, And the Viking age ended 3 centuries before the Dark Age ended
RoadWarriorCainann 1 year ago
@RoadWarriorCainann i have no doubt to that christianity invaded most pagan cultures and vikings eventualy became christians hehe such a shame on another note i seen your profile why not try protecting celtic cutlure from people who arent celtic would be smart
Azaell92 1 year ago
@Azaell92 There's one thing you gotta remember even if Christianity didn't become the primary religion Europeans would still be at each others throats.
"i seen your profile why not try protecting celtic cutlure from people who arent celtic would be smart"
And thats why I put every wiccan,Neo-Druids,Neo-Pagan in their place if anyone is hurting Celtic culture its them along with plastic paddies of course.
RoadWarriorCainann 1 year ago
@RoadWarriorCainann i think your mixing a cluture and its religion to much i dont agree with the new age wiccans pagans and druids much either but i am pagan i just dont follow any of the organised groups but to bash them that dosent really do justice for celts and just makes us look bad they chose it because its what they believe in what makes them happy so accept it
Azaell92 1 year ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@Azaell92
RoadWarriorCainann 1 year ago
@Azaell92
RoadWarriorCainann 1 year ago
@RoadWarriorCainann Vikings where raiders yes but not pirates hehe they left their country because it wasent that great they went to find new homes and because of their major raids they had taken caused better merchant tradeing and other stuff which helped in the dark ages caused by greedy churches ^^
maybe you need to look up history not christian written history books either
Azaell92 1 year ago
@Azaell92 "other stuff which helped in the dark ages caused by greedy churches"
That's odd because they burnt down monasteries and raped our women and sacrificed many people in the name of Thor, they along with their descendants the Normans have done nothing but a bane to my country. And not only that the Norwegian Vikings fought the Danish Vikings over the land and they fought the Anglo-Saxons over the crown in Britain
RoadWarriorCainann 1 year ago
@RoadWarriorCainann well the normans might have been descendants but they werent pagan, as they wouldnt have resided in anglo saxon england and butchered almost all of the pagan populace during their rule.
SaxonWR 1 year ago
@SaxonWR They butchered anyone that got in their way on their conquest for power, just like their ancestors the Vikings did the same in Normandy two centuries earlier. Also The Anglo-Saxons were already Christian before the Normans or Vikings came to the British Isles
RoadWarriorCainann 1 year ago
@RoadWarriorCainann I woudl have to agree with Azaell92 on this one, especially as it's in context with the video and my original argument. Yes Pagan tribes did fight and kill etc, we all have fights & fall out all the time, the only difference is our weapons are more advanced these days. Just as I pointed out in the video, Christians & those of single God religions such as Islam have a tendency to say that it was in the name of God. Even Bush's 9/11 speach was said to have been a God-Drenched..
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca So if that were the case then why aren't the US & The UK nuclear wastelands then? Since if Muslims are so into killing in the name of god then why aren't they killing everyone right now?
"Even Bush's 9/11 speach was said to have been a God-Drenched.."
So? he had his army invade Iraq over "Weapons Of Mass Destruction" but then later admitted it was oil they were after. The man knew how to bullshit his way into getting what he wanted.
RoadWarriorCainann 1 year ago
@RoadWarriorCainann But Muslim extremists are, never heard of Jihad? Just don't let them or the Iraqs get their hands on nukes. It's always been over oil, even Britains war of the Falkands was over oil, it had nothing to do with the people of the island. 9/11 as well as Pearl Harbour were both setup by the American government as a way of bringing them into the war, whatever war it happens to be at the time. 9/11 won't be the last we see either...
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca Extremists come in every form. Whether they be Christian, Muslim, Pagan, Jew etc. As for nukes, they all should be destroyed, America especially should surrender their Nuclear arms but they won't and if they continue to get in the faces of the likes of Russia then say hello to Chernobyl part II. Even if Sellafield exploded it would take out both Ireland & Britain but you don't see your government shutting it down now do you?
RoadWarriorCainann 1 year ago
@allthingswicca As for Pearl Harbour, Einstein thought The Manhattan Project was a great thing that happened but then later realized what he done. But anyone with that kind of weaponry would use it to their advantage. Hell if the likes of Genghis Khan had a weapon of such power he would of gladly used it. Don't forget all the bastard leaders that were "Christian" also killed a fair few Christians in their time
RoadWarriorCainann 1 year ago
@allthingswicca
RoadWarriorCainann 1 year ago
@RoadWarriorCainann LOL, many Catholics would still sacrifice Pagans if they caught them wearing a pentagram let alone a Mjöllnir. I'm not saying that Christianity is the problem on it's but single God religions for which Christianity and Islam are the two main culprits for raising wars in the name of God... As it's been said before, yes there have been many Pagan wars and killings but as far as I'm aware never in the name of a God, or even Goddess...
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca Erm yes they have The Vikings destroyed monasteries, raped and killed native Irish when colonizing Dublin, Limerick, Waterford, Wexford & Cork in the name of Thor. Caesar did it, The Goths did it, Spartans also did it.
"many Catholics would still sacrifice Pagans if they caught them wearing a pentagram"
Kind of like when Nero used to Persecute Christians? and its funny I don't see any Catholic sacrificing anyone wearing a Pentacle.
RoadWarriorCainann 1 year ago
@RoadWarriorCainann There r sooo many kind of pagans and ur sterotyping .. hmmmm we learn from the mistakes made by our ancestors... u think we will butcher ppl... if we do , i will hve slashed u into a zillion pieces alrdy..
d3vilnaruto 1 year ago
@d3vilnaruto " we learn from the mistakes made by our ancestors"? And what mistakes were they? my ancestors had a better system back then than people now. And kid you could try and slash me into a zillion pieces but you'd fail miserably and the fact you follow this neo-pagan bollocks really doesn't say much. And for the record
" u think we will butcher ppl"
hardly since you all rather bitch about Christianity and I meant real pagans not you new age types
RoadWarriorCainann 1 year ago
i totally agree that the killing in the name of God is senseless. But i would say judge a religion on its teachings not on how people live that religion. The Christian crusades can't ever be justified. But i would say show me anywhere in the new testament that it justifies all of this killing, we all know Jesus's stance on loving your enemy and offerring the other cheek when someone strikes you
30760005 1 year ago
@30760005 Agree also, but one of the benefits of following the Pagan path is that we don't have a book full of re-written hypocrisy to follow. Just as long as we have a love for all things natural, apreciate the spirits around us, love each other and accept all others. Remember also that whatever you do bad can come back and bite you in the ass...
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca You realize In ancient Pagan religions being a Warrior was one of the main teachings right? hell what do you think the Ancient Bretons did when the Romans invaded? you didn't think Boudica made her army leave the Roman soldiers to beg for life? they sacrificed them to Camulos. Also the Vikings killed a fair number in the name of Odin. Pagan Europe did not believe in pacifism
CelticIrishWarrior 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : and another thing ... Taking a fossil and extrapolating millions of years to getthe end results that you want is irrational. If you truly want to know what I think about evolution, message me and I'll just talk to you about it through YouTube mail (takes too many comments up)
jordankriese 1 year ago
Good work!
premierattacks 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : but you need to realize that there are many different christianic beliefs. Deism is an example. However, I do not believe that species evolve into more intellectually adept species, I believe that they quite simply adapt to their environment. Observed speciation is an example of this.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : I still see it as you dissecting the universe and praising the "heart"(sun) and so on. I praise God for creating the entire body, not multiple gods for what I assume is their creation. The fact is the universe is a well oiled machine, and believing that more than one god created everything would be...strange...tell me how "wiccans" interpret the universe without dissecting it...
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese I never said that "our" Gods etc created the universe. I think you'll find that Pagans/Wiccans in general give praise to the God & Goddess as well as the Deities for their strength/energy, guidence and wisdom etc. It is single God religions that tend to lean towards God created the whole universe scenario. Most of us Pagans probably swing towards the theory of evolution whereas Christians don't.
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : there is only one dimension that we can truly see every aspect of. God is not three dimensional, he is either the fourth or the fifth. I like to believe that he is the fifth dimension. You can ask me why if you want, but it's rather complicated...
jordankriese 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : not exactly...I do believe he is a being and created us in his "image" (cross section of him if you will). However the very fact that you think I praise the world around me? No. I praise God. I give thanks to him. Not the sun, not the stars, not the earth, but him or "it" i should say for creating all of these things.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese Sorry but you got this last one wrong, unless you take the same religious view as I do, but I don't think so. I never refered to you praising anything other than what you believe in which is God in the biblical term...
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@Jenfucius : I entirely respect your religious view. I had once been an atheist (not quite the same as you are), and am still not 100% sure of his existance. However I still have not been able to acquire the knowledge of such things. I believe the only way to truly know beyond a shadow of a doubt is by death. And I hope to be reunited with him when I do.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@Jenfucius : I still maintain my belief that the two are not the same. Confessing your sins to someone who is equally at fault for his is strange. There should be only one mediator between us and God...not many...
jordankriese 1 year ago
@allthingswicca one thing tends to be a common trend for Pagans. Personification. The thing is these exact things are the exact same proofs someone could use for the existance of God. The fact that one can take the universe and dissect it and take individual portions of the universe and praise them is kind of bizarre...no offense...
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese Personification? Do those that worship the "single" God not do the same thing? As a practising Witch I don't have something that I preach to or worship. I give thanks to spirits around me, mother nature, the sun etc. When casting spells, I have things on my alter such as fire, earth, water and air and then I ask for assistance from the spirits around me that I've called in. I never use objects to idolise, although I guess that some, do but it's not needed.

what claims?
ZekranvaGodOfDarknes 1 year ago
I agree with you, last I checked there is no records what so ever that Pagans in any part of the time line start wars, and Jihads. In christianity there is wars started by christians left and right. I believe that a religion that has such violence such as christianity isnt much of a good religion. That is why I am Pagan, it is peaceful, Pagans never tried any Holy Crusades and/or killed any innocent people because the the god and goddess supposedly told them to. Paganism is great.
blessed be
ZekranvaGodOfDarknes 1 year ago
@ZekranvaGodOfDarknes : However, you forgot to mention Nero and his murdering of thousands of Christians. And "Crusades" is most often referring to Catholicism. Catholicism is not Christianity. Please read biblical passages before referring to what you assume is Christian. Thank you.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese
trust me, I know about christianity.
ZekranvaGodOfDarknes 1 year ago
@ZekranvaGodOfDarknes : well one should not omit such probabilities. After all there are many instances where totalitarianistic societies had rulers that had indeed killed many of their own people.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese
yes, I agree.
ZekranvaGodOfDarknes 1 year ago
@ZekranvaGodOfDarknes True, the fact is that many wars have been started in the name of religion, that's what this video post was initially all about. Don't trouble your Gods by saying that I do this in the name of...
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca
yeah, plus saying you do it in the name of whatever god or goddess you worship would give their religion a bad name but worse is that it gives their God/Goddess a bad name as well. One thing that gets me is that if the deity that the person worships is all powerful, why cant that deity kill the person his/her self? Just like when you ask that if god is so powerful, why didnt he stop the planes crashing into the twin towers. they are different question but fall in the same line.
ZekranvaGodOfDarknes 1 year ago
@ZekranvaGodOfDarknes Who knows why the God/Goddess doesn't step in an do something to avert distaster, or maybe it's part of the universal order of things. A bit like Final Destination, what's meant to be is what it is and trying to change the outcome only delays it. Death is nothing to fear, it's just another road that we take along the same journey. It is not the way of the deity/God/Goddess to kill...
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca
yes, I agree. I get asked why I dont fear to die, I just say "well, it is part of life, and sooner or later I would just die anyways. So there is no point to fearing death"
ZekranvaGodOfDarknes 1 year ago
@ZekranvaGodOfDarknes From my own point of view, death is nothing to be feared. We are all made of energy and from science has aleady told us energy cannot be destroyed, it can only change form. When we die here on earth we then move on to a higher level until we are re-incarnated back into living tissue, what we are now.
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca
ZekranvaGodOfDarknes 1 year ago
Myself and many others believe however that we can't come back until all of those we have loved here on earth have also moved on, I've worked out that this process can take approx 70 - 80 years.
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@jordankriese So do Catholics and Christians not worship the same God? From working in a Catholic school the only division between the two that I see see is the values that either side hold IE: Catholics like to waste money on fancy robes, fancy looking cathedrals with stained glass windows etc, etc. Whereas Christians will just dress it down and just get on with the worship of God without heirs and graces.
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : hmmm...Matthew 23:9 comes to mind, as well as 1 Titus 2:5. These are the first to show that Catholicism does not follow the ways of Christ.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese
I tend to believe Catholics are Christians even though they may be considered heretical by others. (Of course the accusation of heresy between religious groups/sects/cults etc is nothing new. )
Jenfucius 1 year ago
@jordankriese A lot of what Nero was claimed to have done has already been denounced by historians as not being true.
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : hmmm...can you give me your sources?
jordankriese 1 year ago
"Pagans never tried any Holy Crusades and/or killed any innocent people because the the god and goddess supposedly told them to."
That's odd because history tells otherwise, also you do realize that one of the main teaching in the ancient ethnic religions was being a warrior right? and when you killed someone in battle you would sacrifice them to your god of war. Romans did it so did the Greeks, Germanic, Slavs & even the Celts. By true "Pagan" was by no means a pacifist
CelticIrishWarrior 1 year ago
Nostradamus was very heavily involved in the church. Although Catholics are not Christians, they read the Holy Bible as well as other texts. And Cayce was a self proclaimed Christian. Neither of these helped with your argument.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese Well if you want to start dividing Catholics & Christians then I guess we must, but I suppose in themselves they are very different, if only by their way of life IE: Catholic & Protestant. And if we're going to divide them why not juts call it a single God religion and bring Islam and everything else that isn't Pagan into the whole equation too.
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : Catholics are not Christians lol. Please tell me if you want me to list the reasons why, based upon scripture. And if one is to divide it, how can they be the same? Makes no sense to me...and besides. You think Paganism is the right path to take. So why not include Paganism? And PS: The writer of the Q'aran had intercourse with his 9 year old male cousin, and later married him. How then can Christianity and Islam be put side by side?
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese Islam and Christianity are both single God religions both claiming that their God is the only one...
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : but do you not believe that your gods are the gods that exist, and that our God is a false one? I've heard many claims similar to this by other Pagans
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese Any decent Pagan will tell you that you can go and believe in whichever God you want to believe in. It is not our way to denounce other Gods of other religions. You'll find it is the "single" God religions that tell you not to worship other Gods. For Christians - Thou shalt not worship false idols...
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@jordankriese As for having sex with his cousin, the scriptures don't even know who Jacobs father really was. MAT 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
LUK 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli.
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : hmmm...you need to read into this more. I've been looking at this for quite a long time. Luke is referring to Mary, not Joseph...you must fully understand the period in time that we are talking about...and you need to read the entire bible instead of picking and prodding at specific writings. Genesis 2 : 24 refers to married men and women being one flesh.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese "Catholics are not Christians" then neither are Protestants, Presbyterian's, Baptists, Methodists, Orthodox, or Episcopalian either then since they're all offshoots of Catholicism
CelticIrishWarrior 1 year ago
@CelticIrishWarrior : hmmm...I see that you are making...or trying to make a "logical argument" based upon these 2 premises:
1) Catholics are not Christians
2) Protestants, Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, Orthodox and Episcopalian religions are tangents of Catholicism
Therefore: None of them are Christians.
Is that about right?
jordankriese 1 year ago
Let's face it, probably every single God religion that there is out there will try and tell you that "our" God is the only God and our way is the best that there is and denounce anything else. In short that's the way it is, they all claim that their way is the one true path to God, so which one is THE right way if they all make this claim?
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : first things first : Q'aran has no proven prophecies. Omit Q'aran.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese BTW, how can you say that neither Nostradamus or Cayce didn't help with my arguments? I haven't quoted them anywhere so why bring these people into the equation?
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca sorry this was meant for Jenfucius...
jordankriese 1 year ago
Another thing about prophecy : just because it hasn't happened yet does not mean it isn't going to happen. It took over 2000 years for Israel to be returned to the Jewish people.

@jordankriese
"Another thing about prophecy : just because it hasn't happened yet does not mean it isn't going to happen."
That could be said of the prophecies of any other religion too.

@Jenfucius : "That could be said of the prophecies of any other religion too."
True, however, approximately 30 percent of the Holy Bible is prophetic, and almost all of it has occurred.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese But also a big portion of the bible is contradictory
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@jordankriese It has already been proved that Nostradamus brought about his predictions because he realised that history has a habit of repeating itself. This is just Nostradamus being clever, people before his time would have been called prophets.
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : this omits the very idea of the fourth dimension. It doesn't repeat itself, but rather it edits itself, and passes another ruler the spear. "power" if you will. Or you can state exactly how history travels in circles?
jordankriese 1 year ago
I never liked Jack Van Impe. He stated biblical theories, many of which were not backed by the bible. And another example of the prophecy of the bible : Babylon. Too many examples to choose from. Are you a pagan sir? What evidence do you have to the existence of your gods? Or what exactly do you believe?
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese
Pls do not refer me to as "sir" since I am not a male.
Jen wouuld be fine.
Jenfucius 1 year ago
@Jenfucius : sorry. Didn't know.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@Jenfucius : and you still haven't answered me. Are you a Pagan?
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese
I dont know "agnostic" would be the right word for it???
I am not sure of the existence of any pagan gods or of a god.
Jenfucius 1 year ago
@jordankriese You ask a Pagan for proof of their Gods & Goddesses? Look around, the sun in the sky & the essence of nature for all of us to see as is the moon in the sky at night. Now jordankriese, can you prove existance of your God to me? I'm not talking about the Bible or anything that got lost in translation or re-written by mad Kings. Where is your proof? Not that I need it, I believe that you have a God the same as Pagans have theirs, we don't denounce it for it is part of our way...
allthingswicca 1 year ago
1st things 1st : Jack Van Impe is NOT God. The BIBLE is God's word. 2nd : the League of Nations was also a biblical prophecy. 3rd : Joel Rosenberg was a way better example for interpreting biblical prophecy, as he had written fictional books based upon biblical prophecy and had them come true months after the books had been published.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : one last thing I forgot. The people whom you choose to quote who are doing things "In the name of God" are not doing it in the name of the CHRISTIAN God. Many of these are Catholics. And Catholicism does not equal Christianity. I may have already posted this lol
jordankriese 1 year ago
As for worshiping creation... I do not denounce the Christian God since it not the way of most Pagans to denounce other religions. What is wrong with the worship of creation? After all, the sun gives us light so that the trees may grow from the mother earth. For more than 30,000 years before the birth of Christ man has worshiped the sun, earth and moon...
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : Idolatry. That's what's wrong. Exodus 20:3 is a very good reference here. I will not condemn you for your faults, but I will say, and this is my opinion, but idolatry is wrong. And worshipping creation is idolatry. And I need historical references to the proof that people have been worshipping the sun, earth, and moon for 30000 years. And non-pagan references to such "proofs" please.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese We all ready have proof that ancient man worshipped the Sun, Moon and Mother Earth, you only have to look at the cave painting in France to see this proof. Instead of going to France why not just google it?
allthingswicca 1 year ago
jordankriese: I have never doubted the existance of Christ, all I am saying is how can you quote verse for verse from a book that has been re-written many times over? The bible will give you a different version of events depending on which version you are reading and at which date it was re-written.
allthingswicca 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : However, you may also note that the historical refereces that I use for the proof of Christ's existence had come from Pagans, one of which points towards his "marvelous works".
jordankriese 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : another thing. There were 4 books written. However, John points out one very significant point: "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written." (John 21:25). And one other thing. Different writers notice different things (ie history, emotions, etc.) This is why they were re-written.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@allthingswicca : one last thing. Look into biblical prophecy. THIS is the most significant proof for Christianity. Many prophecies (including Isreal becoming it's own nation, fulfilled in 1948) have occurred recently.
jordankriese 1 year ago
@jordankriese
The problem with prophecies is that people interpret what they want to see.
Different groups has been making them for centuries (eg Jack van Imp making prophecies that simply never came true).
One could as well inter the Prophecies of Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, etc. Of course opportunism & probability also plays a factor.
Jenfucius 1 year ago
@Jenfucius
As for Israel become a nation. Alot of it has to do with the League of Nations (LON). The LON were simply sympathetic to what happen to Jews in WW2.
Jenfucius 1 year ago
Oh I forgot. God had given man law. But if you are to read the bible, there are many instances where people turn to idolatry instead of keeping faith in God. These are writings LONG before Christ's earthly incarnation. And another thing : why do you worship creation rather than the creator?
jordankriese 1 year ago
Once again, Christianity could have only existed less than 2000 years ago, as Christ was born less than 2000 years ago. Secondly, unless you yourself had altered the sacred texts, how could you come to such conclusions? Third of all, there is non-Christian proof to the existence of Christ (2 famous historians being Josephus and Cornelius Tacitus). What about this "son of Osiris"?
jordankriese 1 year ago
Also, when you talk about the teaching of Jesus, we only have what the books tell us and as we know those book have been re-written so many times since the death of Christ himself.
As for flying planes into buildings, a lot of this is just media/governmental hype trying to blame a nation of the eastern world to bring about another war. Man did allow it to happen and they reside in the Whitehouse, but that's another topic of discussion for another time...
allthingswicca 1 year ago
Jordankriese: When you say that God gave man the ability to use reason, I imagine that you are talking about the Christian God. We only got to know about the Christian God from the teachings brought about from Jesus. For thousands of years before this man, and indeed woman had the ability to reason, how do you think we survived?
allthingswicca 1 year ago
Another thing. God gave man the ability to use reason. If one is to choose to run a plane into any building, it is a choice. Another question...why didn't the goddess of air alter the course of the plane? Is the air not controlled by a goddess? THAT makes no sense. The real question isn't "why didn't God stop it from happening..." the real question is "why did man allow it to happen"?
jordankriese 1 year ago

Well if one is to look at scripture, Jesus says love your neighbor as yourself, and love your God with all your heart soul and mind. And the whole "turn the other cheek" idea. If one is to love their neighbor as themselves, then how can one murder one that he loves? Another thing. Jesus VERY SPECIFICALLY said call no man on earth father for you have one Father who is in heaven. Catholicism doesn't equal christianity...

Laen, I accept that you have chosen the way of the Asatru but I don't think race should play a part in religion at all.

jihad is NOT holy war. it means struggle. why do people insist on acting like they know things they have no clue about?

And I quote...
In short, Jihad = Holy War

Understand them, pity them - but don't hate.
verbosity53531 2 years ago
I like your attitude verbosity. Christians honestly believe that their friends and loved ones are going to eternal suffering if they aren't 'saved." So, some Christians are acting out of love and concern when they proselytize.
I am moving away from Christianity parly because I don't agree with proselytization of others. But I understand why Christians act as they do. I don't agree, but I understand

There is war because there is evil. God didn't create evil. God created all this good and man s selfish desires made things evil. Maybe if you read the bible you would have a closer relationship with God. That's all he wants..
ToDDyiSoHOOd 2 years ago
How can God want all this for man when the Bible was written by man in the first place, and which version of the Bible are you referring to? I have seen at least three versions of the Bible and they all say something different about the same thing.
allthingswicca 2 years ago
okay well you are being very general about what you want me to prove to you from what I said. please be more specific and i will be glad to help.
ToDDyiSoHOOd 2 years ago
I am neither asking you to or need you to prove anything, like I said. The bible has been re-written many times over so how can anyone these days including yourself regard the Bible as a useful & acurate point of reference? You'll also find that the Bible used by Catholics is different to that used by Christians yet both religious societies worship exactly the same God. So please don't ask me to read the Bible in order to have a closer relationship with God when it's littered with contradictions
allthingswicca 2 years ago
Not all wars are evil. Some wars are ones of self defense. Those wouldn't be evil.
If all God wants is us to have a closer relationship with the divine then what does it matter what name that we call God. It shouldn't matter if we address God as Allah, Buddha, Isis, Venus or any assortment of names.
debrandom 2 years ago
As someone like myself who is trying to follow the old ways as a Pagan you have to understand that I don't denounce the "One God" belief system but those who follow that system of only one God are told by the teachings of the Bible that there can only be one and that all others are either non important or don't really exist. And it's true, there are a lot of wars out there that start off as self defense, in the vid I talk about Holy wars that happen in the name of God and that's wrong.
allthingswicca 2 years ago
Because allah, buddha, and the others you named are gods of other religions. So yes it does matter, depending on who you worship. If you were buddist you wouldnt pray to jesus?

The Bible is a good book, at least most of it is. Some of it is a little wrong in my opinion. It seems the less people read the Bible, the more they try to interpret it, thus we get these pointless "Holy Wars".

your very right my friend.
The reason that those planes crashed into the twin towers is there isn't that all powerful all knowing god.
As for pagans the only wars/battles/raids I can think of are the viking raids.....but hey.....what comes around, goes around and we norse sought revenge for the countless deaths the christians inflicted.
See how there evil spread?

the planes crashing into the twin towers thing, it was claimed by muslim terrorists iirc, so why do you mention it on a 'paganism vs christianity' vid ? oh, and btw, there were pagan persecutions against christians in the first centuries of christianity.
florin1cristian 2 years ago
@florin1cristian If you are referring to Nero, he was a psycho-path, not religious.
Trestin13 2 years ago
Nero wasn't the only oppressor of the christians. Domitianus was also a christian hater. That's why it's called 'The persecution age'. If it were only in the timespan of a single reign, it would've been something else. But this argue isn't going anywhere, we should leave it as it is. You can believe in whatever deity you wish to believe, and I'll stick to my God. peace
florin1cristian 2 years ago
It's sad that persecution still goes on. It's funny, there is a book in our school that the kids are taught from, it teaches about every religion you can think of, Hindu, Muslim etc but there is no mention of Paganism, Native American Indians or any other earth related religion. It's surpirsing too when I discover so many kids that attend who are not religious towards Catholic or Christian, this of course just makes it easier to teach them the other side of life.
allthingswicca 2 years ago
