  • ok i have said this before its not the snatch strap that broke it was the Pajero and yes she did pull to hard, and as for me taking the video i was not close my video cam has a zoom and i was zoomed right in so i was not in any danger

  • Very important to wash and rinse mud and oil off strap belts to prevent this, winch cables replaced if line is kinked or rusted

  • The guy taking the video probably bout crapped himself, looked like it was going after him

  • that person is lucky to still has a leg

  • thats why you dont cheap out on a strap. or use an old frayed one.

  • good example of why all the bystanders should be a safe distance away from a recovery..

  • you shouldn't be filming it from there, you couldn't be in a worse spot , right in the firing line!!

  • Ok, giving quick tugs and giving the stuck vehicles a jerk is fine, but to some extent... you don't need to damn well near use the whole length of the strap, usually a few feet will do it.,

  • @norcobigfootrider you've obviously never been off road or used a snatch strap before. you must be one of those guys i see stuck, and trying to use some twine to get pulled out, and wondering why it keeps breaking.

  • @alexrex20 You're obviously too lazy to view my videos & channels. No, i don't use snatch straps, i use regular tow straps, i keep two in my Jeep. I was mistaken while watching the video, i believed it was a regular strap, i am well aware that a snatch strap stretches to build kinetic energy until it begins to pull the stuck vehicle. I've never used one myself, but have seen them used.

Before trolling & making accusations, check people's uploads so you don't look like an idiot. :)

  • @norcobigfootrider actually i checked your channel right after i commented. i saw the videos but instead of going back and deleted, i just hit the back button and hid in a corner, waiting for you to chew me out. lol

anyway, i just read your comment and assumed you were one of the hundreds of "YouTube Pros" that have zero experience but talk big. you're obviously not one of them. cheers

  • @alexrex20 haha, don't worry about it. I saw you replied and frankly am not in the mood to get in a YouTube argument tonight lol.

Yes, there are a lot of the "YouTube pros" around. But hell, at least when you call someone out you've got the proof to back it up. Sadly, i did make a fatal mistake in my first comment, i didn't carefully read the name and description before commenting, had i, i would have remember it was a snatch strap.

PS: I was browsing your videos, nice work :)

  • Hahaa that guy fell

  • @TheJared2222

It looks like the other guy pushed him.

  • Just a bit more info the strap was a snatch strap and that was about the 3rd attempt to get it out and what gave way was the shitty recovery point on the Mitsubishi Pajero the strap was still in one peace and if you listen you can hear the metal on the end of the strap hit the ground and after we broke the Pajero i got my Nissan Patrol and pulled him out........ lol

  • If its not Elastic cording, its a "Pull" strap, & Thats why you don't yank on the Nylon one's like that. Something's going to give, and normally the square footage of the ground holding you has more strength then the welds holding your truck together!

  • Hm.... Isn't it why you should always keep the bonnet open if you don't know how to properly attach the kinetic rope?

  • I don't think hitting the end of the strap at 20 mph was much help lol damn good thing it wasnt a chain, something expensive would have broke then

  • This is why I won't allow a snatch strap anywhere near my vehicle. These straps far too often do more damage than good. I use a winch or a strong cable with a normal controlled pull (no snatch).

  • 2 all who have had a cable snap(obviously theres a puddle there, and u got a shirt on right?soak that t-shirt and throw it over the winch cable or tow strap)teqniuqe wrks ive had 2 do ths

  • YIKES! That camera guy had the right reaction, i had to get winched out of a mud hole by a wrecker once, they brought their light duty truck...and well the cable snapped and took out one of the lights it

  • thats why people should always stay clear when doing these kind of pulls, if that thing hit you it would knock you the fout

  • Ouch ! It looks like the hook on the front car broke ?

That was dangerous. People shouldn't be located at either side of the snatch.

  • what about the bloke that fell over, first time I thought he must have got hit

  • Watch my video... HIS snatch went through my back window with a D shackle attached to it.

  • thats nothing new. it took me a few broken snatches to go ahead and buy the biggest one on ebay hah
