- seal the border immediately
- crack down on employers for about 3 years and deport lots of illegals, including their kids even if U.S. citzens (kids go w/ parents to Mexico)
- of course deport all the criminal illegal aliens such as gangsters
- whoever is left after 3 years (or so), grant them some sort of permanent status but with no chance at ever gettting citizenship
- moratorium on ALL immigration for 20 years so peole can assimiliate (ie. a one generation moratorium)

Liberals who support illegal immigrants are unknowingly siding with greedy U.S. corporations. Why? Because illegal immigration is about one thing --> more corporate profits via lower labor costs.
Who wins? Greedy companies AND illegal workers (earning FAR more than in Mexico).
Who loses? The U.S. labor class (U.S. proletariat) via job losses to illegal workers & depressed wages.

I agree with you in your analysis, mostly. And as a matter of fact it's the REPUBLICANS that want cheap labor becuase they are for corporate interests. Just look at the facts. A chart of migration since BUSH took office. However what about immigrants filling the jobs no other American will do? I think the best thing to do is secure the border first then a grant a well defined amnesty (ex. famlies only, no criminals etc). There is no way to remove 20 million people. It is impossible.

I'm a Republican, I voted for Buchanan. You're right about the Republicans, dems are right on their heals though.
There aren't any jobs American's won't do, except maybe harvesting. But even with harvesting, our farms should be using harvesting equipment like they do in Japan and Europe but as long as they have Mexican cheap labor, our farmers don't invest in the automatic harvesting machinery.
Americans will do any job if paid a fair wage.
