MS will improve multiple monitor capabilities in the beta release. At BUILD, they demonstrated how taskbar icons will only appear on the screen where the application is.
What a nightmare of an UI. There are 2 distinct OS UI , and have not seamlessly integrated metro UI apps and legacy Windows apps. Stupid. Agree with you totally. I'll go with OSX lion.
@DrachaMladjen Nothing wrong with your english.. I asked yesterday about these restrictions and they said they will stay.. @BuildWindows8 on twitter said: " @jkkmobile Keep in mind..run rate of first generation netbooks at 1024x600 diminished "significantly" as 1366x768 notebooks arrived. "
Minimum of 1366 x 768 resolution for the best Windows 8 experience. 1024 x 768 will be the absolute minimum for the new UI fanciness and 1024 x 600 will let you run Windows 8 in the classic desktop mode.
@DrachaMladjen if your resolution is under 1366 x 768 it won't work :( MS has made stupid restrictions there.. Metro apps need at least 1024 x 768 to work at all!!??
@jkkmobile Well, you can download it if you are a developer, or have a dev account, I suppose... Or can anyone do it ? Since it's a "developer" preview..

It can't even run Ie10...that's stupid. I hope they fix this. If not, I'll just get a new tablet and my boyfriend can have my old Havon.... hehe :P

@jkkmobile if you switch display panning off in Windows 7 you get 1024x768 resolution not sure if this option will be in the registry in Windows 8
HGEMAIL 5 months ago
@HGEMAIL I trust there will be plenty of hacks for this in future.. lets just hope MS drops these restrictions..

Hi JKK, we found that if you connect an external display, launch the Metro app, and go back to the tablet display you'll be able to use the apps!
It seems that they just check that the res is bigger than 1024x600 when the app is launched, but the apps can work also in that resolution
