  • I watched this video on LSD and I am now a glass of orange juice.

  • Im sorry i cant watch/ listen to this high. =|

  • Check out CEP2plet and Merzbow. Good Noise artists.

  • When i finally get these jams put into some sort of other worldly context after putting my ego on mute black dice seems a bit over whelming to say the least.

  • THIS IS MY TRIPPING SONG... THERE ARE MANNY LIKE IT, BUT THIS ONE IS MINE!!!!

  • one of the greatest tracks ever...

  • ow my epilepsy

  • HEHEEEEE *dies happily*

  • that must have been a fucking crazy trip.

  • Total shit. It's like someone is taking a big auditory dump in my ears. Sometimes drugs doesn't make better music.

  • @CallmeTHEwizard Correct, drugs do not make music better, music makes drugs better!

  • This is shit.

  • omg.... wow.

  • Schräg und kultig.

  • @mickeythebutcher Really? Maybe this just isn't for you

  • @mickeythebutcher That's like the only art is 2D.

  • @mickeythebutcher guitars are also machines.

  • what is this i dont even

  • This is too artsy for me. Same with Animal Collective. I've given both bands multiple chances but nope. I mean, I respect their whole avant garde thing that they're doing with minimalism and such, and I think we need bands like that to counter balance the norm of everything else, but I can't put something like this on a mix CD for myself.

  • @DarkXGlitched i like this kind of stuff but I see what your saying. Their is a lot of stuff like this that people who are just getting into it have never heard of like Nurse With Wound and Throbbing Gristle. I like all of it but year I usually have to be in the mood. It's not really jamming music. It's mostly hey look at me I'm carazy music :)

  • @DarkXGlitched listen to Sung Tongs by AC, then go to their earlier works like "spirit they're gone..." and make sure to listen with headphones. Pretty soon you will be begging for more and thanking me. Get the first release from Black Dice if you can it sounds like they are a hardcore band with noise leanings.

  • It's funny when people can't wrap their heads around obscure ideas the immediatley dismiss it as terrible. I gues is forces them to think a little too much and nowadays I guess that's too much to ask for.

  • ive seen Black Dice live with Animal Collecive and Grouper and it was reallyREALLY hard to tell which song BC was playing, so it was nothing but a trippy blend of sounds, but when they did Smiling Off for their encore it was just like... O.O

  • what the fuck does owl city have anything to do with this? this isnt some radion shit that all you sheep have been told to listen to

  • @AntiWarhol- Define "better". Aren't we just weighing different values/tastes? Grow up some.

  • why is it up to you to decide what is good music and what isn't?

  • @AntiWarhol

"Hahahahahahahahaha...OhGod." probably best expresses my feelings when I read that.

    1) OK. Define music.

    2) Owl fucking City? Have you ever heard of The Postal Service?

  • @AntiWarhol

This, by the way, is FAR more "musical" than ALLOT of Noise records.

  • @AntiWarhol Dude... you've got no fucking taste.

  • why the fuck are people talking about owl city on this video hahaahahahahaha

  • fuck owl city

  • mainstream is gayy!! everything that is on the radio and or mainstream sound exactly the same to everything else in the radio!! underground and indie music is real shit! your juss bitching cuz you've never heard anything like this on the radio! these are real voices of the world, unlike the brainwashed crap of the mainstream!!!

  • @ShawnIsAnAsshole

I really hope you aren't serious.

  • owl city is the shittiest band known to man.

  • actually 2nd, save for brokenCYDE

  • @Outerspacehaze there are no words, to express my agreement, good sir. also, flying lotus goes great with the haze. just a suggestion...

  • flylo is dope; if you didnt know new album Cosmogramma coming out on 4/20

  • @derekio137 that's for certain. Them and Lady gaga.

  • @derekio137 Nah, just different then this.

  • @derekio137 Spelling correction: "than"

  • @CaravanNothing Spelling is for people who can't think outside the box.

  • @synth77 I was correcting myself! Ha ha.

  • @derekio137 THANK YOU!

  • Hey man, stop writing those things down on every black dice's videos.

That is so pathetic, and you're bothering us.

Go on your lovely pages, ' OWL city ' and enjoy it as much as we enjoy black dice.

    Happy new year man.

And see, no need to put any bad words in my response ;)

  • @yariNL1 owl city is mainstream now, i just saw him on vh1 n all that stuff.

  • @spartanshyne

He's number 1, I believe. With "Such Great Heights".

  • @ignoranttwat

i like real indie not indie that comes out on mtv sorry.

  • classic party banger

  • What's all this bickering about AC v BD?! They both sound a lot different. To the average listener they're similar, bit of you actually listen you'll find they're quite different.

  • Black Dice is on AC label. And they also do some projects together. So yeah.

  • BD is more electro, AC is more, something else.

  • this music causes my vagina to have a female orgasm and i dont even have a vagina.

    what the fuck.

  • @tarsier70 you better see a doctor! lol!

  • Man oh man Broken Ear Record is the business.

  • @Pointysharp

    I'm not sure, I think it's by N.W.A. though.

  • Comment removed

  • tars you are obsessed with black dice. i am sorry bro.

    ~carmine

  • fuck yes i am.

  • Comment removed

  • are you retarded? Black Dice has been out longer than AC. SO you actually mean that Animal Collective is a knock off of Black Dice. Lame is right.

  • the two bands have released music together.. how in the world is black dice even remotely close to what animal collective sounds like?

  • ohmygod I went somewhere watching this video on Salvia- when I came back the video was over...

  • Actually when Animal Collective toured like 3 years ago, Erik Copland opened. Not Black Dice. Animal Collective could not follow thier live show with songs like My Girls, especially after Repo. That's when the middle schoolers move to the front and I leave!

  • Rather strange. Not saying it's bad though.

  • It's so bizzare. I wonder if all music will be like this in 50 years??????

  • I really don't think so. Thats good though because we have something to tell everyone. Like how everyone talks about 60's music and beatles and hendrix etc.

This will be ours. Personally I think people will look at this music weird but in a really cool way 50 years from now.

People will be like WOW you saw them live? You heard them?

Who knows what music will be like 50 years from now. Will there be a BIG new instrument? Or will people go back to guitar, drums, bass, and a singer?

    We will see...

  • Black Dice are awesome, but you have to be in a certain mood and have lot of patience and open mindedness to enjoy them. They would've been good tour mates to Animal Collective a few years ago, when both bands made this kind music, but playing this to people who come for My Girls and Fireworks is a pretty nasty and unkind shock.

  • ....but people who came for My Girls and Fireworks can eat a dick

  • Dude, fuck you UTOG90, My Girls is a hell of a song, in fact that very song saved me from suicide, it's music that says everytyhing is going to be okay.I also listen to Sunn O))), so I like wierd shit too. I'm sick of people with this pretentious attitude that think that music has to be wierd as fuck to be good; that's simply closed-mindedness. I like White Mice, Suffocation, Earth, and the fucking Rolilng Stones, open your mind, Jesus christ. (p.s. black dice are fucking sweet!!)

  • @funkmasta666 "My Girls is a hell of a song, in fact that very song saved me from suicide" hahahahaha you retard

  • and I think that's EXACTLY why BD opens for AC.

  • Peacebone's video seems tame now. I'm scared, better get my gun.

  • I know there will be someone who responds to this telling me that their music is art and I should appreciate it, but I can honestly say this is the worst live act i've ever had to sit through. I have never plugged my ears in a concert before this. Honestly their shitty fucking performance almost made animal collective not worth it. This is the kind of shit they torture people in prison with.

  • they played extremely loud just to spite all the new animal collective fans.

  • well I'm not a new fan and I still had to sit through their shit.

  • you didn't have to. i wish i was there instead of you, i could have gotten one of those sweet bd shirts.

  • If I wanted to keep my spot right in front of the stage holding onto the railing I did.

  • @dystopiandreamgirl1 your an idiot

  • 21st century music should not be made for enjoyment...Black Dice are doing the right thing...music has been boring for too long...as Laurie Anderson once said, "the only true artists these days are terrorists, for they are the only ones exploring the element of surprise"

  • I don't understnd this at all. Why is the element of surprise essential to "true" art? There are people using the element of surprise in art who aren't terrorists. I can't detect any substance behind this convoluted pseudo-intellectual mess of a comment.

  • Comment removed

  • @dystopiandreamgirl1 Yeah.. Black Dice can be a bit much. Better than Dam Funk who opened for AC last year. I swore he was a novelty act. He shouldn't be playing at bar mitzvahs, let alone opening for AC at Prospect Park.

    Nice screenname, by the way.

  • @noquarter610 I'm glad somebody understands. :)

and thank you, saw BTS a few weeks ago for the second time.

  • i saw them the 9th with AC.

and i thought i was going to

have a panic attack cos of the volume.

    :/

but Animal Collective saved the night

  • your ears will die... They are insane live!!!

I saw them in Sunshine on June 1st with animal collective. It was incredible.

  • listen to this man.

saw them on June 4th with Animal Collective.

  • i saw them the third with animal collective the back-round projection was nuts

  • srsly!

  • lol! are you serious??

i was at that same concert too in ABQ.

animal collective was the shit. but

THIS WAS TERRIBLE. so awful. i think they play it in hell. really really really bad.

not my type of music. it filled my heart with anger and sadness. sooo bad.

  • A lot of people hated it, but I loved it, I was that kid who was trippin' balls, being held up by a girl, near a group of teenagers, I have Green-Blond hair, sound familiar?

  • lol!

haha i actually do remember you!! because the only part i liked about black dice was watching people react to it. and most everyone was kinda just standin there, so those who 'got it' kinda stood out

you probably didn't see me.. just another lil indie.

  • Didn't do much then?

I took a bunch of... something (I don't recall), and some "brownies". :P

  • haha and i bet that improved your black dice experience..

seriously i think they play black dice in hell.

but they sound better not-live. idk if this is just due to the drastically lower volume though..

  • it probably is, the volume @ sunshine was so insane, it actually sounded better when you plugged your ears. :3

  • haha sunshine is the best for concerts!

    definitely my favorite.

  • かっこいい

  • Shit I can't wait until All Tomorrows Parties. these guys are gonna be so good.

  • Argh! Electric Soldier Porygon!

  • going to see them in june with animal collective :DDD

  • i ammmmm. :)

  • AWEEESOOOOOMEEEE!! XD im going with some friends hope this concert is good..have you seen them live before? O_O

  • nopeeee. why? have you?

  • nope :\ jw

  • i'm kinda scared to see these people live at dallas, because i don't want it to get extremely repetitive and annoying. haha

  • luccckyyyyyyyyyy

  • yay for good bands coming to the Roskilde Festival, Black dice where anouneced today =)

  • A must see ^^

  • yup, cant wait to see these guys!!

    ROSKILDE '09!

  • you need some serious drugs to write a song like this.

    I love it, though.

  • phychedelic

    fucking love black diceeeee

  • I enjoyed that.

  • hah i like it :) i've never heard these guys but its new and interesting. not if you were epileptic though

  • It'd still be interesting, just a little more seizure inducing than normal.

  • I am always interested in people's visual interpretations of BD's music. Danny Perez, who also did the equally brilliant/massively fucked up video for Animal Collective's Who Could Win A Rabbit video, sure made some interesting visuals for this one. I prefer BD's video for Kokomo but this is right there in terms of oddness.

  • Creepy, when we got closer to the exercixe laty's eyes when she was on that tower in the close up. Errgg

  • lul

  • tons of thc before this video makes the song very uncomfortable at first, then fading into something to release the tension.

  • my cock sounds like this when i prem-jay
