This song isn't about suicide or depression.. they have an unexpected pregnancy. His girlfriend wants to keep the kid, but the guy feels that his life as he knew it is over if they have that kid, so they want to abort it.
@TheWSHSwrestler it's actually about Brent's friend's cousin who was an awesome guy, who one day tried to commit suicide but fell to his knees and said 'look at me, I couldn't even finish this', and Brent's friend tried to help him get back on his feet and get his life going again, and he survived. Religion is a defense mechanism to help people deal with the unknown and sadly it just divides humanity. Being gay for example was fully acceptable in the roman society, until christianity came along and promoted hatred. There is no answer just deal with it.

@WildSoccerMan Also, the Romans believed in the Roman Pantheon. It was a larger, broader, and overall more diverse Pantheon. The Greek Pantheon was absorbed by the Romans (Surprisingly a very open minded people for being conquerors) like the religion of every other person they conquered.

I understand your disbelief in God, but if He (or she, or it, or whateverthefuck) does exist, it most certainly wouldn't be in a fucking cloud, but in an alternate dimension, which is theoretically possible. the beautiful thing about this song and all of shinedowns music is its all left to interpretation like true art its going to mean something different to each person that listens to it. To some it may be about suicide to others this song maybe about looking at your self, to others it could be about the decisions life forces you to make and how you have to live with them, regardless there is no right or wrong interpretation its all in the person that listens to it and how it affects that person

This song isn't about suicide or depression.. they have an unexpected pregnancy. His girlfriend wants to keep the kid, but the guy feels that his life as he knew it is over if they have that kid, so they want to abort it.

@TheWSHSwrestler it's actually about Brent's friend's cousin who was an awesome guy, who one day tried to commit suicide but fell to his knees and said 'look at me, I couldn't even finish this', and Brent's friend tried to help him get back on his feet and get his life going again, and he survived. So no, it's not about an unexpected pregnancy.
