I guess the only way mechs are going to be of interest for the military is of someome finds a way to produce something as powerful as the strike Freedom Gundam at a lower cost than the current vehicles used today. It´s a money and know how thing.
Extremely creative! Big congratulations to the builders and designers. Some of the moves have a mechanical resonance to them, where the mass and momentum of the robot is used in a calculated, well orchestrated, and dynamic attack. This goes far beyond mere walking and punching! Incredible stuff the Japanese hobbyist can do, very admirable.
yes it could happen i do not doubt that but by that time people would have spent more time developing our current military weapons and would surely outrun a military mech which is just starting...
It's a mix of controls. Basically the operators have remote controls, then many of the top robots have additional sensors and some autonomous capability.
The music sounds like the intro to a video I would have to watch at work about such things as not calling my female co-worker "hot stuff". But the video more than makes up for it.
I would love to learn how to make these robots on my own.

I doubt that robots will be produced in the military mecha level. It's impractical in my opinion. But these small robots are cool...:)

that has got to be one of the coolest things i've ever seen... are they remotely controlled or do they move, locate, and attack, independently??
