espectacular el sonido...me encantan la musica antigua y su sonido es realmente increible,,,creo que es dificil..imitarlo o que nazca uno como el...es maravilloso
Thanks for posting this great Ray Charles classic. The sheet music for Ray's original piano part on "What'd I Say" can be found at manymidi.com/sheetmusic.htm - a note-for-note transcription.
Excellent. Ol' Ray wasn't called 'The Genius' for nothing. This tune will never get old. This and 'Nighttime (is the right time)' are my favorite Ray tunes, hands down. Thanks for posting this.
@RockNRold99, I'm glad you like it. Both What'd I say and Nighttime (is the right time) are probably the two favorites of mine up at No. 1 on my personal chart along with Rockin' Chair Blues and Kissa Me Baby. It's good to know that 22 thousand and some people still like this song, (acording to the view rate on the video)
you are quite rite cause i don't think ray did the same lyrics at every show he wnt too but that is what makes his music an others that followed him during those "golden" years so different. no matter what they sing on the record don't mean you will get that at the show. when he sang for the crowed or performed he did it to please them ani think we are missing that. great video an super awesome song love ray.
Hey dude, I'm glad you're one of those people, a lot of the people I know like Hip Hop, which I think is mediocre music except for some of it. Thanks for watching!
This is the version I remember. I used to have a few precious EPs - I couldn't afford whole LPs back in the early 1960s. And this was one of the first records I ever bought.
But I can't find those EPs today. Now is that sad or not?
Interesting short story. I have to agree it is sad you can't find EPs today, or it's really hard to. What's the EPs playing speed? I'm glad you liked the video. I expect to be posting another one of these soon.
It does sound a little fast to me; the version I have runs 14 seconds longer (6.25). (The LP says 6:42, but that's counting the phony applause they dubbed in at the end...)
BTW what LP is this? It's the lead track on my copy.
Hey, man- Thanks for this one. The Best version I've heard so far. Even adding it to my favorites under music section. Great one from one of the greatests. Mike in Fresno, Ca. P.S. By any chance do you have the Mess Around by Ray Charles- and if so would you consider posting it for us? and Thanks again.

This song I noticed is a half step up. Correct if I'm wrong, but the orginal key of this is in E but in this half step version its in Eb or D#?
