There's something raw about Cash when he sings a Christmas song. It doesn't sound cheap or fake like other artists tend to do. He sings them like he damn well mean it.
I remember playing this on my Fisher Price record player when I was four years old. I love the original LP cover and have no idea why they changed it when this album became a CD. I can still remember a three foot tree in my room decorated with lights and so many ornaments and I would sit in wonder and take it all in. These songs mean so much more to me now and I now see that finding music this deep and rich is becoming harder every day. Thanks for posting this!
