  • This is FANTASTIC!!! BravissimI! Vote 10!

  • great job, boys !

  • It IS a country song in the English skiffle/country tradition, anyway, never heard of The Mooks before but excellent cover. If any of you guys read this, you might want to look for alternate versions of the fab four playing this where Ringo played a few interesting tom riffs, you might be able to find one they did live in Manchester NH in their 1964 tour the tom was very pronounced in that version. If you did that you might try miking and amplifying the tom because it sounds so cool.

  • Excellent! Nice harmonies, but the southpaw lead player is the guy who makes this version sparkle. Really nice! This is spot on!

  • I always thought it would make a great country song. Great!

  • really good!

  • very impressive

  • I'm impressed These guys are good.

  • Great, always I have said some Beatles songs can be a country.

  • Great cover!

  • @jimmysexcellentmusic Good stuff thats for sharing Jimmy

  • Super performance

  • Great!!!

  • Great job !! not easy vocals ... Always been one of my favorite, and most under-appreciated, early John Lennon tunes ...

  • Great job!!!

  • Dig you daddy-o.

  • I like it!!

  • WOOOOOOOOOW

  • best so far. better than fab faux

  • I closed my eyes and could swear this was a live BBC recording! Awesome job. I saw Beatlemania in Hamilton and Toronto Ontario 6 times. This was great!

  • Nice cover.

  • Awesome job. I like the music and vocal. Are you Beatles tribute band?

  • probably the most difficult song of the beatles to blend and get the subtle changes in the tones right.. Nice job guys!

  • Having played in a Beatles tribute show I can speak from experience when I say, these vocals are brilliant!!!

Paul's part is incredibly high throughout ( a tough part to sing), and the guy doing John does his 'tone' extremely authentically. 5 stars chaps!!

  • @danielthomas72 On the original studio version, I think John overdubbed himself on the verses, singing both the high and low parts. On the bridge, Paul seems to be doing the high part.

  • awesome cover.

  • really nice job...

  • I can`t get over thay guitar solo, not so much what he is playing but the sound, the tone. It`s freaking awesome.

  • you blew me away!!! great cover!!

  • Nice job fella's...nice mix.

  • Hey Joe, you still sound great, can't believe my grandson found this. Feel like I'm on Ogden .Wish you all the best Love Kathy

  • you guys are too good!

  • real good job. You guys really respected the song!

  • Dang!

  • Not bad dudes!

  • Very good boys..

  • Very nice! I like it. GOD bless you all!

  • fantastic

  • If I close my eyes I would think its the Beatles. Great job.

  • NOW THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT. It was already a very good cover even before homeboy *nailed* the solo (it was clear he was also quite familiar with its underlying influences). BIG props all around for this one!

  • "Homeboy" is Ira Siegel, one of America's all-time top session guitarists. Ira has played on probably 300 albums, countless advertisements, Broadway shows, movie scores.....he's even played for the President. You won't find a more competent guitarist.

  • [I just pulled up the song again]

Yeah -- it shows. Given the sensitivity and apparent ease with which he channeled that country-shuffle feel, I'd have been far more surprised if he were, say, a plumber by day!

Are the rest of the guys also musicians "in real life"?

In any case ... go Mooks! Awesome job!

  • "Are the rest of the guys also musicians "in real life"?"

You said it Mikey...the bassist is Lenie Colacino, who portrayed Paul McCartney in the original "Beatlemania" show on Broadway, and still works every so often in Beatles tribute bands. The guitarist with glasses is Joe Pecorino who also appeared in the original "Beatlemania" on Broadway, portraying John Lennon. The guitarist on the end is John Fotiadis, an extremely talented songwriter/producer.

  • What is "beatlemania" in Broadway? Is it a play?

  • this paul doing his job very well.

  • Good cover !!

  • really good!!! The vocal on this was very good!!! The instruments were also very goos and the style in your voices is very simaler to the Record!!! I thought this was good!!!

  • love those lefty guys!

    ;)

  • @hofnersinla i'm lefty hehe

  • top performance - very impressed

  • Absolutlely brilliant.

  • good rendition..lead guitar stands out..thanks for posting this

  • Hey, did you guys play all day? Cus the sun sets throughout the set.

  • i love it when i see people do Beatles covers. it makes it so much easier to separate the harmonies by watching the counterparts.

  • i love this one!!!

  • Really good !

  • Perfect !! Wow!!!!

  • I am so impressed with this rendition..it's fantastic!!

  • mook-love forever

  • bravo! bravo! i used to overdubmyself doing the vocals using an old tape recorder... one pass the 1st voice and main guitar, second pass, second voice and riffing guitar... wow... nice performance guys!

  • Wow, that was really great How did you get that awesome country tone in that middle lead break?

  • Gretsch signature sound. Add some compression and there you go.

  • fantastic

  • This is a well executed and nicely paced rendition. Excellent!

  • That's really good, congratulations!

  • How good it is to hear that voice. Thanks.

  • FINALLY! A cover band that doesn't try to look and talk them (IMPOSSIBLE) but instead focuses on the music. BRAVO!

  • A very good performance, really polished. You see so many tributes to the Beatles that rather insult them but yours is far from that- great show

    Peace and Love

    Dan

  • Very Best,Thank you.
