In this kihon this nikyo has got some mistakes, the most wrong thing is that it is not nikyo omote but ura!
the key point of nikyo (ura) is not (only) the kote part of the arm, there is also the uke's elbows and the connection between tori's and uke's center. another mistake, which is taking distance from iwama style, is the fact that, in this kihon, tori is going down with the arm and then he goes up, this is totally wrong, nikyo can't work in this way IMHO.
One more thought for those who say "We don't do it that way." Put a boken in your hand and then do Nikyo. The crook of the elbow works. The tsuka/handle won't have any real control anywhere else.
I think perhaps you are new or have not spent enough time in Iwama or with the "old men" who had practiced with O'Sensei. There were variations. The normal Nikyo works fine when you are stronger or about equivalent in strength. A 100lb college girl will usually not have the strength to use that on a 200lb guy. I see this a lot and I use a variation that gives the girls and smaller guys more leverage against the big guys. Go get some more experience.
Thank You...

This is definitely NOT Iwama...For God's sake, check your facts. Or, (re)train with a real Iwama Sensei..
And please, change the title. This is not Omote, much like Ura but still wrong execution if you call this Iwama.

You don't do like that in Iwama Aikido.
