Allan uses his thumb when he's trying to get that flowing yet muted effect - I've seen him doing that going back to the 80s

when i first heard his music... in concert :)... i did not like it, i tought there was no point to it. still not sure about the effects he uses but i realize there is something really interesting and unusual in his compositions and i enjoy it. proud of it.
