ERRRR i was suppsoed to watch my neigborhs dog and i locked myslef out of thier house....... i dont know what to do cuz ur probabaly not even gonnna me on. and i wont tell them this but i put a bobby pin in it and a small piece broke off now i think its really broken...it has thick trim on it and i dont even know what to do....

@thekidofcha0s its not really picking its cause there is a pin in the door handle and when you push it it unlocks the door it happens with a lot of door handles

At 30s notice that the phillips head screws are on the outside "wrong side" of the door... remove the screws and the knob then retract the latch.

wow thanks a lot! it work like magic!! I've found a piece of semi-soft clear plastic for my car insurance policy holder n cut the piece into 2 pieces bc I was too thick n I inserted it all the way up from the top off the door n dragged it down the door knob bc the door was too tight. n after trying a few time it opened!!

This worked for me! The knitting needle in the hole wouldn't work for some weird reason. Got a piece of plastic from the kitchen that's meant for covering food in the microwave. The door jam was tight so I had to work it in there, but it worked. Messed up the edge of the plastic a bit, but I don't care!
