  • I use the same gel and I LUV LUV LUV it... It make my locs feel light and I can shake them...lol, but anyway I just wanted to say that I cannot wait til my locs gets longer, Im on my 8th month right now and the experiences Ive had with hy hair has been wonderful and Ive learned so much about my hair... LUV my LOcS ....and the curls in ur locs are gorgeous...Hope the curls in my hair comes out ok...Wish me Luck :]

  • i use the same thing but i have the 3.5Ib big lock&twist gel

  • Thanx sooo much hun! I was about to chop mine down to a couple of inches after wearing the same style (up) and not knowing what else to do with them! I've had locs for 15yrs and have had to cut/trim them many times. Two years ago, they were getting out of hand & heavy so I cut 6-7 inches off, but they've grown back to my waist already.

Thanx again for posting this, I'm gona try it 2mo!

  • Your hair look hard my girl! Beeswax makes ur hair clumpy and adds a lots of dirt and gunk, so I avoid it.. I use Mango & Lime loc gel, makes my hair smell nice and gives it a nice hold too.. nice video :)

  • they look great, i loved it!! P.S...u look great w/o the make up!!! :-) Peace.

  • I live in Ga most People have southern accents. It was a topic brought up in one of her videos. Check her out!

  • blk gurls w proper accent- whats that mean??

  • nice dreads check mines out

  • LUV THA LOCS!....& THOSE CURLS R NICE!

  • this is genius!!! i have box braid right now and plan on keeping them in for the semester. I've been looking for ways to style them and I have to try this!

    Thanks for posting this!

    Peace and blessings.

    Alyssa C.

  • Check out dreadcap.com. You would look good in the dread sports cap. Love your dread.

  • Peace sis. Your locs are most def beautiful. I noticed that you have done what most peep w/ locs have done....combine locs. I believe that it was a video from Chesleigh (SP??) that put me on it, but after combining my mother's locs I threaded them. You can use whatever color thread that matches your hair and thread them together, palm roll it and eventually they will matte together. Then you will be able to remove the thread. Much respect to you! BlessNs~

  • thanx so much much easier than a rod

  • the beeswax and all those ingredients in it; mineral oil, petroleum is very clogging to black hair

  • Msned12, your skills are mad awesome! I sent you a response to show you what happened when i tried your technique! Thanks so much for sharing your skills!!

  • @terrabanks awwe thanks for the video reply I love your locs girl! Thanks for trying it and all the props :p

  • i think your informative , try jamaican mango and lime products they are natural and make no build up on the hair.AND it holds the new growth in place until it locks great stuff give it a try . you won't go back to what you use now . good luck.

  • U R GORGEOUS

  • your so natural and pretty, and i think because of you i'm going to get dreads.

  • @reptiliankiller1 wow thanks I am flattered!

  • Very nice, I will try it now

  • really cute! i love the eye makeup btw..

  • Thank you, thank you. This was so great. Since I've moved to Germany I now use Vaseline and a hair gel to hold my locks and it works. It was hard for me because I couldn't find the "Loc Juice" here. Again you are great, thanks!

  • My locks are past my derriere but I think I'll try it anyways. Yours turned out beautifully! I normally just braid my hair right after washing and leave in to dry for about 3 days and then take it down and it's all crinkled : ) One suggestion though, you can "palm roll" your hair now that it's long enough and it will take you less than half the time it does now when you twist it!! I hope that helps : )

  • @Kirpope hope your arms dont tire! Wow past your bottom huh?

  • Thats a great idea! I am going to give it a try this weekend. I love that you dont have to buy or add anything to the process. Thanks for sharing this! Be blessed!

  • Wow! So cute! I am tempted to try it myself, but my hair is so long and I have so many locs, i can just imagine how long it would take to do and the agony my arms would endure. I curl mine just by washing, towel drying til damp, braiding (leave in for like 24 hrs), then undo. It works for me so I like, but I wish I had learned this technique when mine were shorter. Anywho, thanks for sharing, I'm going to subscribe to you now!

  • love, love the technique! thank you for sharing.

  • i like ya locs..

    check my locks out....

n lets subscribe 2 each other

  • cool!!

  • does that organic root stiumlator hold for long?

  • Thanks for the tips girl!!! I am definitely going to try your technique, I've curled my locs using rods but it is so uncomfortable to sleep with them in but this looks way easier to handle... excellent vid.. keep them coming

  • Thanks for your energy

  • OMG! that looks so cute on you, while you were working i was concerned, but i LOVE it!!!

  • LOL yeah I always love the outcome..especially when the process is questionable

  • wow you use your own hair to do spiral curls awsome. just awsome

  • Yeah and no hard rollers to sleep on!

  • YouTube is the bomb! I love being able to learn stuff watching people like you! Thank you for sharing and you and your hair look FAB! :o)

  • Thanks!

  • I have to much hair... I tried it but I was just too exaahusteeeed so I just went to the hair dresser

  • awe i wish I had that problem!

  • Your hair is so beautiful. I am definetly going to try this....cus I really hate the perm rods and curlers. This is the bomb!

  • Thanks let me know how it works

  • GORGEOUS! I will fav this vid and use it once I get some additional length. Just started my lock journey august 1st!

    B Blessed

  • Congrats! Enjoy the journey!

  • you are beautiful wow .. very nice locs also ..

  • Thanks

  • petroleum is NO GOOD for locks...stop use immediately it breaks your hair at the root..you ever put petroluem jelly on a cut, well, the cut heals and the scap dries up..petroleum is bad babes

  • Thanks now i can do my hair..... I was really wondering how i could get my hair to curl like that with out falling the next day

  • Yeah and it stays in for a while too

  • Came out Really Cute!!!

  • Thanks

  • Beautiful hair , you look so cute in your glasses, and i absolutely love your eye make up!

Locs for almost 2 years and loving it, I cant wait to get your length!

    Thanks for sharing

  • Awe thanks gotta get my "nerdy" on sometimes:) Keep it up!

  • Very cute. I just washed my locs and was surfing youtube videos for a new style. I am going to try it now. Thanks!

  • no prob let me know how it works!

  • Wow! Very lovely! Thanks for the vid.

  • thanks

  • Very interesting sister!

  • I learned this from you girl!

  • ive only used either mango and lime gel or that stuff you have with the purple top. And it costs 3 something at Walmart.

  • oh that is cheaper than GA

  • Im in PA

  • ur locs stay seperated well even after u wash. what method did started with?

  • braids then interlock

  • Thanks!! I love my curls...but

will my locs ever get straight again?

  • yes when you wash again

  • looks great:) I'm going to have to try this. my curls normally fall out so fast so hopefully they'll stick around this way!

  • it should stay for a while

  • my hair is still curly....11 days later...mind you, they've fallen, but....the curls are still there...bantu knots rock!

  • awesome

  • this is soo pretty !

  • check out Pinky2D4 for dragons (4 headed loc). She shows how you can comb out the loc and retwist it back into one whole loc.

  • Your are AWESOME! Thanks for watching!

  • I watched this vid many times and tried the technique...turns out, I had to use a different method for bantu knots, BUT, Msned12 gave me the idea of curling my locs without rollers and by using the knots...my hair looks GREAT!!!! Thanks Msned12!

  • Oh snap..lol This is like...wow. This is probably the best spiral curl technique I've ever seen for locs. I've been natural for 6 and loc'd for 3...hmmm. Doing this TONIGHT. Thanks sis.

  • Thank YOU! I am just sharing what I was taught good luck, I would love to see how it comes out!

  • I love the technique you used...beautiful!

  • thanks

  • holy cow! You just showed me how to do bantu knots...i've tried, but always messed those up. Thanks so much for making this so much easier. Just curious...did you air dry your hair completely? Did you use diluted setting lotion or anything? I'm gonna try this...end even do this with my roots twisted (i like the twist with no clips).

  • Yay! I did air dry it probably would have been shorter if I sat under the drier but I need to be free. Also I didnt use any setting lotion or anything except the gel shown in the vid.. I would love to see a response:)

  • Your curly locs are gorgeous! I will natural for one year in may of 2009 and so far I rock a big fro and two strand twist. I am seriously considering locing my hair. I heard that locs are low maintanience and I need that because I am such a busy person. What advice would you give to me about starting locs? I am going to a local professional to get them started,,,How long will it take for my hair to loc? I have really long hair...your hair is gorgeous and keep up the good work!

  • I started mine with small braids but if I did it again I would start with a pro then take it away from them! I LOVE big fros though

  • I love how your curls look! I just did your method after watching the vid now Im waiting for my hair to dry...yay!

  • yay!!!

  • Hey I could not find a vid of yours that said how long you had your locks, has it been more than 2 yrs?

  • Yes it will be 5 years in May!

  • wow! That's great. I am still quickly approaching my 1 year. Well I am half way there ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • great video, thanks for the tips! I'm trying it out as we speak...!

  • OOOOOO please do a reply video! I would love to see the result!

  • wow....that was pretty...I've never seen anybody curl their locs without a lock loop or something like that....I'm natural...but I haven't locked yet...thinking about....more inspiration to go ahead and do it!!! Thanks

  • I am thinking about going back to being able to use a comb ....or not. I just get restless sometimes:) Thanks!

  • I love not having to use a comb. But i was (and still am) what they call Tender-headed.

  • Super Cute!

  • You had a lot of new growth. How long had you gone with out retwisting?

  • maybe 3 weeks? It wasnt really new growth it is just un locked hair! i wish my hair grew that fast.

  • if you go four weeks without retwisting, then how often do you wash your hair? It seems to me that whenever I wash my locs I have to retwist. I don't understand how one can wash without retwisting. I wash my locs about one a week, and then sometimes I just rinse, but still twist.

  • I used to wash my hair more often when it was short but call me a bad girl I should wash it more often than 3-4 weeks. I guess I do not find the time. But I also have to twist after I wash. I wash more in the summer.

  • you are overtwisting without a doubt. you can break your hair this way.

  • hey there. a coupla friends sent me your video because my hair wasn't responding to the loc loops for curls. I tried your look and I think it came out pretty good. I'm trying to post a video response. Hope it works...thanks

  • I am gonna watch it now! Thank you for the response!

  • It looks so pretty!

  • Thank you!

  • Thanks that was an excellent video!!!

Did you have problems with your small locs breaking before you combined them because they were weaker???

  • They didnt break but were getting weak. I wanted thin locs but I had to combine them. I wonder if sista' locs break off?

  • girl i love your curl! you are the first person i have seen doing it without a curl tool.wow

  • I am still rockin the curls from this video! Almost 1 month WooHOOO

  • u are so pretty and I love your locs

  • Thanks

  • I have never seen that before. I am going to try it soon. Thx for the awesome hair vid!

    Shalom & Blessings!

  • Thank you for watching!

  • I use this style quite a bit..it is really nice. I was glad to see a tutorial on it.

  • Thanks I was suprised I have not seen a tutorial on this before! They use it in Loc Shops all the time.

  • Yeah try it I want to see how it works for different lengths

  • I am going to have to try this one, too...

  • Very Nice!

  • Love this....gonna try it tonight...thanks for the insight.

  • post a pic or make a vid! I would love to see how it comes out!

  • this is awesome! I have been locked for 3 years and have never thought of this. thanks for the idea.

  • it takes a while but it last long also..

  • yeah send it! I love seeing other peoples 'dos!

  • Ooooh girl! I absolutely loved this vid and it's so going in my FAV's! Very glam and divafied. I'm gonna send u my latest loc vid and you can tell me if you think your technique will work on my hair as well!

    Smoochez,

    ~kokofemme~

  • I love your hair it looks so beautiful. May God bless you and keep you on your natural lock journey.

  • Yeah try it and do what works best for you. Let me know how it works!

  • What a neat technique. I've got to try to get this down.

  • I've wanted to learn this technique for years! I saw it done at a braiding shop once. Thx 4 the how-to... you have lovely locs!

  • My sis taught me and she learned from her loctition in DC! Just passing it on.

  • yeah i agree you locs are soo cute

  • have u ever tried to interlock your locs?? especially w all the new growth. ive been growing my locs for a little over 3 yrs and i just started interlocking and they hold longer using that techinques as opposed to palm rolling

  • When I was starting my locs I used interlocking because otherwise they would unravel. I dont do it now b/c they make my locs lumpy.

  • oh ok. i guess they can change the pattern of ur loc. i just maybe go through the hole twice, not all the way to my scalp and than i palm roll. but to each its own. ur locs are pretty though.

  • bees wax is never good for ur hair. good thing u switch over the organic

  • My hair is so much better using the gel.

  • OH all that new growth is BEAUTIFUL. You have a lovely texture!

  • Thanks! I do miss combing my hair sometimes

  • Good technique!

    Thank-you!

  • I started with hair about 4 inches and that was 5 years ago. But my hair shrank before it grew. (if that makes sense)

  • you locs are great how long did it take for you get the length

  • Love your hair

  • Thank you

  • awesome ..! your locs are so beautiful tomorrow its gonna be a great day a yes ..!

and im sorry if you dont understand me im from mexico so i dont speak very well

so any way kisses from here take care ..!

    se ya

  • Your English is good! Thanks

  • That is a neat way of curling locs. I like. I will try that. Thank you

  • Let me know how it works out!
