@Esudao Can't say I do. Most TV shows like this, especially on Discovery and True TV, amp up these clips like crazy for dramatic value. Even is this is overdubbed, is was still a very intense event. People who weren't alive when it happened and won't know the difference, and people that were in the area (should) still understand that. My mother remembers it very clearly and I'm sure she wouldn't have anything bad to say about the audio on a TV show....

The blast audio has been added by the doofuses making this programme. The sound wave can clearly be seen traveling toward the camera and there would have been a delay between the explosion and the noise of the blast reaching the observers. Thumbs up if you concur.

Wouldn't the sound travel through the air faster than it's shockwave would track across the dirt? I wouldn't know though, You do have a point, but I'm pretty sure the shockwave running across the ground isn't just like a wall, but more of a convex bubble expanding across the land.
