The triaxis is a preamp for your clean to distortion sounds. The g-major is just an effects unit i.e. chorus, delay, flange, etc. You cannot use a g-major with out a preamp/power amp.
Excuseme please for insist, but my cuestion is how do i must to connect the G Force, in a mono loop, or is necesary in a stereo loop of the GCX? cause i want for exaple play crunch sound with a Marshall JMP-1 and the g major, and the lead sounds with the triaxis with the g major too. Thanks
Excuse me again, i have a cuestion about the GCX, is possible to connect two or more preamps in a fx unit, in this case connect the G Force into the Triaxis and the CAE 3+ with the GCX?
Just wondering, would it be ok to place the Triaxis in the Preamp Loop of the G-System without a 2:90? The G-system has balanced outs which would typically run straight into the house system.
Technically yes.I would rather place G-system in the loop of triaxis because dry signal sounds better that way. When you want to add some effects simply turn the loop on (on triaxis).Use the record out when connecting it to your hi-fi system.(triaxis has 2X return & 2X record out so you can run effects in stereo).Master volume (on triaxis) must be set low.
The best way to get the optimum sound from the triaxis is to combine it with tube power amp (mesa boogie 2:90) and speaker cabinet.
Thanks for the quick reply man, very helpful. I noticed on another of your clips someone posted something about a VHT poweramp, would you prefer this to the 2:90 do you think?
In my experience, VHT is all around a step up from mesa, and yeah Mesa would recommend their power amp, they are a business, they're in it to make money. If they weren't, their stuff would be cheaper. I am not trashing Mesa, I have had there stuff. They are just not in the same league as VHT. The Triaxis is pretty damn good, you have a great tone. Give the VHT two/ninety/two a chance, KT88's, 98 or 60 watts with the flick of a switch. It surprised the hell out of me, and I WAS a Mesa freak.
1.You would with the triaxis and g-major.I´m not sure about 2:90 because I never tried it. I think it should work even better. 2:90 is made for triaxis.
2. I Control all units with Voodoo lab ground control and Voodoolab audio switcher - wery easy to use - you can control everything.
If you use one preamp than you don´t need the audio switcher.

For what is the mesa 295 stereo ? i don't understand :| and the stereo 400 is better ?? i don't know!
boomxpassion 2 years ago
the triaxis is a preamp
the mesa 295 is a power amp (replaces the "head" and you can actually plug directly into a cab)

What exactly is the triaxis used for, i have tc g-major and just use that but what can benefit from using a triaxis aswell?
BigCowz 3 years ago

Did you buy it new? And if you did, how much was it?
JuicyOverdrive 3 years ago
You must use left and right input of the g-major if you want to play jmp and triaxis at the same time and have fx on the
both preamps. If you want to use only one preamp with fx, than you need only one input of the g-major.

Jes it is! GCX is made for that. You have to conect: guitar - GCX - triaxis and CAE input - triaxis and CAE output - GCX - Gforce- GCX -power amp

Brian187412 3 years ago
VHT is great! But the mesa boogie advises to combine triaxis with 2:90. I trust them. I would choose 2:90.
The most imporatant thing is to get the sound you like. Best way to get it is to try different combinations.
If you don´t have that option I think you should get 2:90.

Dude, what a tone! Awesome! I'm a complete noob when it comes to rack systems, i wonder if you could answer a question or two for me?
1) If i were to buy the triaxis, a tc electronis g major and a simul 2:90 would I get a tone like yours? What are the other rack units you have there?
2) How do you control it all? I presume you need some kind of floor board but how does it work?
Thancks for your help in advance, still can't get over that tone!
