The prompt asks you to join a network, then he pressed "cancel" which would mean he's not connected to a network. ALSO, you can see that he's still on 3G aafter that/

This video is misleading. FaceTime can only be used on WiFi at the moment. They weren't using it over 3G. That is why it asked to connect to a WiFi when the FaceTime request came in. They were within a WiFi network. Otherwise the FaceTime request would have failed. Sure the call was on 3G, but once the FaceTime was sent it connected to a WiFi. That is why the WiFi prompt popped up. Anyone with a iPhone 4 knows this. They are NOT using this on 3G network.

My cousin in Dubai has been using it in 3G phones for like last 6-7 years on HTC and it works perfect one of his friends' phones has been Nokia, LG and Motorola not fuckin Iphone video calls are successful with network reliability and the quality and my cousin has had no problems its actually very useful if used properly

Fact is that Apple likes to get things RIGHT before they release it. Video calling on my N95 is horrible, but Facetime looks really good. Same with the camera, both our phones have 5MP cameras, but the iPhone 4 rapes the N95 in that respect.

Apple squeezes as much from the hardware they have as possible, and in the end produce a much more polished product

Other phones that claim they have a front face camera and video calling, like a Nokia phone that i used to have, are really hard to place a video call and you need the need to sign up with a carrier that allows video calls. And since no one wanted to sign up it made the feature on the phone useless.

@everyone video calling in general is dated...the technology the iphone uses to video call/face time is not. I was one of the first testers of video calling many years ago and it was terrible, simply awful quality - this being the reason It hasn't caught on. Apple have seen the potential, many mobile phone manufacturers saw 10+ years ago, implemented it wisely and with new technology. If you have used face time you will see that on wi-fi the quality is quite remarkable.
