I don't know what Obama thinks about this or what "the left" thinks in general. All I can say is that I consider myself left-leaning and don't for one instant consider people in the armed forces dumb fools. I consider it an absurd notion to make any such assumption about individuals who CHOSE to put everything on the line for others and the good of national ideals. That is, he doesn't flaunt the greatness of this nation in the face of others or use it as an excuse to treat them as second class citizens of the world. We seem to have become experts as a nation in the last decades at just pumping up our greatness - from kids who need constant props., to football players doing some sort of crazy dance every time they tackle someone. How has he abused the 10th amendment? I think Obama has done some real great stuff, like close down Guantanamo and the CIA prisons around the world. Not all middle eastern nations are terrorists, and by improving relationships with them he will be able to build a stronger force against the real terrorists. The only thing that I believe he has done wrong is all the bailout bullshit, because thats expensive. But you must remember that government bailouts worked in the great depression.

Dude, it takes a little while to close down a prison, Iran has terrorists occupying it but not leading it, and he is only greeting the leaders, NOT the terrorists. He is currently looking for high security prisons to put the prisoners in, and he has already put a couple of the accused terrorists in them.
