The demons i think are what made these guys who they were , You cant write music like this without the pain these guys were going through , Listen to the lyrics in these tunes and you'll know that they were deeply troubled not so much Nirvana's earlier stuff but near the end and Layne's from the begining till the end . well said, I liked AIC in the early days but really got into their music when I started playing the songs and therefore really listening to them. Layne was a tortured soul who gave us all a glimpse into his pain. I hope he finally found peace.

@mxer4ever126 Layne was troubled, but Jerry wrote almost all of layne's lyrics and is given songwriting credits for both guitar and lyrics on almost every song. Ironically, Jerry was the most grounded and untroubled of the group. maybe he got his inspiration from being around people like layne, but that's just speculation.

It´s similar... not the same... Nirvana was Nirvana and AIC is AIC, Kurt was unique as Layne was unique, each one in his own way... both greatest singers and writers.. both with too many demons inside... but at the same time different... MTV unpplugged concerts are greatest... I think is the only good thing that MTV did! The candles and lights maybe the same but each band put their own beautiful atmosphere
