In answer to whether lemon extract is edible, definitely not! Extract is supposed to be used in cookery and baking and for one large cake, you should use one small drop from a pipette. Still, try peppermint extract or vanilla extract, they destroy your tastebuds! Also, the salty sauce stuff is meant to be used in a pipette over sushi.
