  • Thier protest was the most amazing and hilarious thing ever.

  • Wow, grumpy dude in that radio place :S

  • All their supporters were teenage girls!

  • I almost stopped watchin the vid when charlie said he wasn't gonna be in it.

  • I love alex's ok hello, sorry at 3:54 :)

  • Alex + megaphone= Hours of fun

  • their not the best at protesting! XD

  • Favourites:

Alex and Charlie-bcause i have already been watching ur stuff.

But hey, Jimmy ur really hot-almost as hot as Charlie :)

  • jimmy is hot <3

  • I don't understand, if BBC were following you and making a TV show for you guys, how come you had to protest outside of BBC? xD

You guys are my favorite youtubers, Alex being my number 1! :D

  • and how strange -

their spontaneous supporters are all female ;P

  • we'll be a mild neussance all day!

we are starting an uprising made of good things!

    good banter! hahaha

  • You guys are shit at promoting.

  • dude, get everyone to go with yall.

    itd be crazyness.

  • Alex failed getting arrested with that radio man :P

  • Oooh, that radio man was rude!

  • People at the radio station are IDIOTS! :@ How evil were they!

  • Comment removed

  • BBC play the song!!!!!!

  • Why don't you organize the online community to come with you next time?

To show your presence you need the people, so why didn't you bring the masses with you?

  • Well those radio people certainly weren't very nice..

If I lived nearby I'd completely come and yell at people through megaphones with you guys.

  • Alexs laugh is a national treasure

  • I love Chartjackers! And Kaiser Chiefs! Yeah!

Been keeping pretty quiet about Chartjackers up until now - but now I'm terrified the single will bomb and so I've just sent an email of their YouTube page to all my friends.

Hoping that will get us some extra support...ooh! Crunch time!

  • I would love it someone from the UK could the buy the single for me. I will buy it myself but of course it doesn't count since I'm in the States :-(

  • Does anyone want me to buy the single for them.

If you dont live in the UK but want your purchase to count towards the charts Id be happy to buy it on your behalf.

  • If this is on BBC Switch, then why can't they get the song on the radio?

  • funny funny funniest thing

  • lol "we'll be a mild nuisence all day!"

  • OMG today I was walking past this global radio with a group of friends and just shouted Chartjackers!!!. lol couple of people turned around and we just walked past. Wounldnt mind doing that again if you'll need some help :))

  • lol so cringy when they talk to the man inside but woo keep goin guys!

  • Can I shake your hand on that?

  • aww bless alex luv u!

    go chartjackers!!

  • i aggre with basschiik they should have of had every one sing the song in leister square!! so many people would have of joined in jus for the fun of it! lol it would have goten so much publicity too

  • Put out a callout and get all your fans in the area to come out and carry signs. You would have a least a few hundred people turn up and wave signs I reckon.

  • that guy at 3:51 sounded like a douche,

as if he wouldn't shake alexs hand :(

    meanie

  • I can't believe that with 1000s of UK residents online backing your project, the Press stunt you come up with is the two of you with a megaphone. Get a meet up going, do something that'll get us on the news and in the papers.

  • Exactly!

  • Yes, organise something guys!

  • WOOOOO CHARTJACKERINOS!!!!!!!!

  • There's no point hanging around radio stations. Make appointments, get a press pack explaining who you are and hammer home the Children in Need charity angle - that is the only thing that will make them listen.

  • LOL!! that looked like soo much fun!! some day I'm gonna do that for a job!!!

  • Whoo, Kaiser Chiefs clip!

I love those guys. They are hilarious. XD

  • OMG charlie's face isnt annoying!!

What you should do is get as many people as you can to make the biggest CHARTJACKERS poster ever and stick all over LONDON and get even more people to sing it as loud as possible in leister square. WOOT

NAsty man woludnt shake alex's hand :(

    thats offensive

  • im sad that man would not shake your hanf alex :/

  • when was this done

  • lol That guy from the radio station who spoke to Alex was a twat XD "Can I shake your hand on that?" "Erm, no..." Nasty man XP

  • check out my chartjackers fan video :)

and my charlie mcdonnel fan video :D

  • You'd think radios would want to support something that's for charity, the guys aren't doing it for personal gain it's for children in need and they've put such a lot of effort to get it all done

  • That was quite rude not shaking Alex's hand like that... :/

Best of luck with the project guys! Saw you on the CIN website and I squeed so much.

  • LMAO they put it the wrong way. I love them.

  • For those with facebook, I have just created a Support Chartjackers gift app :] check it out and send it to your friends :] x

  • What's with the transparent setup? Radio1 IS BBC, so obviously you're going to "miraculously" get it on the air at some point. Aren't you supposed to have a massive fanbase? 5k views is shit.

  • You shouldve got all of us to join you in the mini protest and send in a load of texts to the radio stations whilst everyone was outside

  • HAHA Alex is so sweet

  • hahaha mild nusance(sp) all day!! geez it breaks my heart that its not doing well in the UK. :( well it get a bunch of buys on iTunes

  • I could get it on Future Radio...but that's only for norfolk :/

  • XD I love that you guys protested

and aww it sucks that no one's playing the song

  • This makes my life.

    I love you guys :D

  • lol. I love how polite Alex and Jimmy were about it.

Is the song getting played on the radio at all? (As a non-UKer, just wondering what's happening there)

  • the guy who worked at the building was an ass! :)

  • hmm, reckon you could get the song on Spotify? 'cos that'd be an easy way to get the song flying around. Money generated from the ads could go to children in need too...

  • Dudes that protesting was pathetic i think you should make a vid asking people 4 chartjackers chants nd den just sit there all day chanting

  • wait.. the show is on bbc tv but the bbc radio wont play the song? just a few phonecalls to be made

  • I know thats what i dont understand at all...

  • yea radios would rather play bad music like lady gaga than this awesome song! :(

  • I work at a small radio station in macclesfield and could possible get through to one of the main ones up here if that helps?? Xx

  • Dude, remove the double question mark from that comment and flex those influencive fingers of yours at that Macclesfield radio station.

After seeing this video, I myself honetly felt like the episode was a little more precarious than usual. I really feel as if they are beginning to hit stumbling blocks, and I fancy trying to help tem myself.

  • One of the best Chartjackers episode ever, too bad Charlie and Johnny aren't in it! T_T

  • Hahaha, that Muslim chick wants a piece of that.

  • Come on Chartjackers! Is this going for christmas number one? Because It's about time that x-factor didnt get it, Its unfair that X-factor is taking the chance of a christmas song from alot of bands with a song that isnt even christmas-y...

  • yer that guy sounded like a prick

  • 0:21

    bottom left! that's mee!

    i feel so speacial.

  • I have an idea.

The director of my theatre company is a radio producer on Clyde 2, I take the single to him, he plays it on Clyde 2, then on Clyde 1, then Forth, the Central FM and so on.

If you want me to try it, tell me.

  • theyve said before if you can help in anyway, don't ask, just do it. so i'd recommend you just do it!

  • I need a physical copy of the CD though...

  • Do it! :D Hehe.

  • seriously why aren't they helping? didn't they hear it was for children in need? they need to help.

    they are so moody :S

  • that guy at the reception was a grumpy arse. where's your sense of humour/fun you miserable prat.

  • Wouldn't getting the BBC to do it kind of defeat the point

  • Alex : Can i shake your hand on that

    The douche bag: err...no

    lmfao

  • that guy sounded so rude

  • WHOOOOT PROTESTING!

  • haha! this was hilarious. i'd never be brave enough to do that.

But I dont get it. Isn't this show being produced by the BBC? Why can't the Switch department just tell the Radio department to play the song? You're all one company, aren't you?

Anyways, keep it up. you rock :)

  • GO JIMMY! XD XD XD

  • No chance of getting to number one. Not with Leona being released on the same week. She's going on X Factor to promote next week. Unfortunately, X Factor gets more viewers than Chartjackers.

  • They should protest outside the X Factor studio!

  • Someone PLEASE organise that.

  • that guy at the end was soo mean!

  • Don't BBC own most of the radio stuff anyway? So can't they sort some stuff sicne they are making this song.

Also that receptionist, was a complete twat.

  • ahahah. 3:37 when Alex says "hello!" through the megaphone right in that guy's face and he just continues forward, hilarious.

  • You needed more people. It was fun to watch, but kind of pathetic, since it got nowhere.

    :/

  • alex is hilarious with his megaphone. jimmy with his polite protesting.

I really hope you guys can get more attention! I'm in the U.S., I know nothing about radio stations because, in my opinion, the all play terrible music. :P But is there anything I can do to get you some radio play here?

  • this is one fun protest.. ha!

  • ah you should called on us to help! I would have gone to London :D

  • haha that was the most polite protest I've ever seen. good luck!

  • Oh I see,

I was a bit confused by that.

  • That man at the end was such an angry douche bag. Not johnny, the one alex was talking to.

  • Damn it, I'm never in the right part of London at the right time. I totally would've helped!

  • that guy was nasssssty.

  • where can i listen to the song?

  • If this is made by/endorsed by BBC then why do they have to fight to get onto BBC radio?

  • Actually, they've gone onto BBC radio.

But...sadly they played the song for only 23 seconds...

They did not manage to allocate more broadcasting time for them..

    :<

  • Just because it's made by the BBC, doesn't mean we get a free pass to get promoted by everything they own. The whole challenge is to get a number 1 on our own, without help; the BBC are merely documenting our progress.

  • Okay, that's all I needed to know.

    Best of luck.

  • I disagree. Given how set-up and scripted a lot of your shows for BBC Switch are, it feels like a BBC Switch project that they've asked you to take part in.

In that case, it seems bizarre that BBC Radio won't play the song.

  • What do you mean you disagree? I'm telling you what the truth is, as someone who's involved in the project and therefore knows honestly. As I said on BlogTV, the shows aren't scripted, we just work them out as we go, and they haven't helped us to get our song ahead in any way. They won't play the song because they're not helping us. It won't seem bizarre if you just see I'm telling you the truth xD

  • Alex, I understand what you're saying. (And I'm honestly not trying to be antagonistic.)

What I mean by set-up is, from what I've seen of the TV shows, it seems to be planned by the TV producers that "this week, we'll send you to meet Rav, the marketing guru" or "this week, we'll send you meet Charlie from Fightstar".

Where did the idea from the project come from ? Did it start off as a BBC idea for a good TV show ?

  • I know you're not, I don't mind talking about it :) While it's true that we were able to meet 'mentors' for advise, a lot of those mentors (Mike Stock, Chesney Hawkes and the music video guy I can't remember by name) just watched the show and got in touch. This is a requirement by the BBC to incorporate a regularity to the show, but aside from that, what we do is our own. The gig we held, the big BlogTV show, the protest, the song's recording ... all things we organised ourselves.

  • Furthermore, the red carpet premiere wasn't organised by the BBC either. Charlie is doing some unrelated work with Disney at the moment and we got the tickets through that, so it wasn't 'orchestrated' in any way.

As I said previously, the idea was collaborative. They firstly approached the four of us without an idea, just because they wanted to work with us. Then we worked together to develop and pitch it.

  • Cool. Thanks for the information.

It's great that we got into the charts. Thanks to the four of you for all the hard work you put in. :-)

  • I LOVE YOU CHARLIEE!!! im soooooooooooooo gonna buy the single <3

  • I really love the protest hahahaha

    yay!!

  • That guy was such a killjoy!

  • Yeah, psh, you guys aren't gonna get arrested!

  • Can I shake your hand on that? Err no. What a meanie ha!

  • ahaha i love alex's laugh, it's so contagious xD

  • If you post a bit of the song, and decent video we can all post on facebook and the like, each person can reach around 300 people!

    Do that!!

  • hang in there!

  • Maybe if it is on iTunes, we can get it to #1? I would buy it. =]

  • It makes me sad when people are mean to Alex! :(

    Jimmy is so funny XD

  • I'm horribly sad that I can't contribute to the charts..but I will still definitely buy it for children in need.

  • hahaa xD

that guy was kind of rude :P :)
