It’s going to get worse before it gets better. People will fracture into their respective races, same as they do in prison. They’ll form underground societies that function little differently from gangs, yet eventually real gangs will take predominance—marauders, road warrior gangs, ex-military forming local juntas, then fracturing themselves. Thus I am addressed as "Brother Nathanael" for only tonsured monks of the Orthodox Church are addressed as "Father." This is also why I may engage in a public ministry as I am not bound to a monastic community as tonsured monks are. +Brother Nathanael Kapner

I have always been concerned with church members being called father. For Jesus told us not to call another man father for we have one father in heaven and call no man master for we have one master which is Jesus Christ.

To place oneself in another's place, as in calling oneself "Father" of people one never gave life, is a bit of a stretch, in that acting as someone else is "anti" - for this, look up the meaning of the word..
