toda vtec killer cams basically change the cam profile to where the motor is at the lobe profile that it crosses over when vtec is engaged. so it doesnt crossover into vtec, it gets rid of the variable valve timing and lift electronic control and basically the car is running off a lobe that is the size of the vtec lobe...im to tired to explain that any better sorry.
