Instead of responding with a meaningless comment why don't you refer me to these alternative techniques that are oh so workable. Noone is FOR animal testing, it is simply the best known method now practical.

for example testing make-up on animals, yes maybe animals give good feedback, but how about testing it on humans? It's original design is for humans right? And do we REALLY need lets say 130 different companies with all practically the same shade of burgundy? In my opinion we don't. Test human products on humans and do most research you can do with alternative methods.

The most accurate test you can do is actually test it on a human. There are countless of people who are willing to be a test-subject but they aren't "used". For example, you think all the safety devices in vehicles are so accurate and quickly developed because crashes etc. where test on animals? No, it was a man who did shitloads of tests and put his body on the line for science and to save lives. He was a pioneering hero. There are more people like him out there.

a crash test is not the same as a drug test.. side effects need to be researched befor human trials are allowed.

this mans statement that a very large % of drugs we use every day were tested on animals first..this includes vaccines, which u urself have accepted for fear of getting the diseases.

u personally have used products which were tested on many hundreds of rats. so dont sit enjoying the fruits of that research and dismis its importance.

Yes the goal of the tests are the same. Testing a product on behalf of an organism so you can minimalize the risk-factor that the end-product will have. Main difference is men can choose animals are forced into being test subjects. And why do side effects, NEED to be researched (assuming u meant on animals) before human trials? That's a rule you just adapted while it is made up by men. Think outside the box please.

(part2) Other ways for research can be explored or created, fact is that using animals is cheaper and easier. They are forced into the role of a product. Use them until they break then get a new one...... Also I don't dismiss the "importance" <--(debatable) of the research conducted in the past, I just don't like it how it got to this point. For example you also exist because in the past lots of bad things happened. They contributed to your existence, but are you fine with that? Probably not.
