As a fan of the show, I thought that the writers really screwed with his character. I hated how they had him get married so suddenly and then cheat on his wife! It's just not something I feel his character would have done. Wouldn't it have made more sense if George fooled around with another guy on the show? I think I personally would have been VERY tempted by that money, but I respect his decision to walk away. Many people would have sold out their integrity and beliefs for 14 million bucks!

He must have been miserable, and then he had those problems with what's his name (dr. burke). That's a lot of money to pass up but hopefully he's socked away some of the money he's already made and will be able to make more elsewhere.

I think TR did the right thing because last season, George was regulated to the Chief's B**ch. He went from being my favorite character to being a waste of screen time. With that being said, they gave George a very dramatic send off.--the best episode of last season.

It's a job, not many people are 'happy' at work.....that's why they pay ya. Suck it up, and be happy after hours! And there will ALWAYS be people you aren't happy around or who even make you feel bad, that's life....ya can't keep avoiding those, sometimes ya need to suck it up and get a thicker skin instead.

I think TR did the right thing because last season, George was regulated to the Chief's B**ch. He went from being my favorite character to being a waste of screen time. With that being said, they gave George a very dramatic send off.--the best episode of last season.

I DO WATCH IT! My favorite show actually.
I wouldn't walk away... but I guess there isn't much Shonda could've done with George in the show. Ge got married, he divorced, he slept with meredith and izzie, he got held back in first year of internship...
And he died in a significant way, I loved the last episode and all.
TR will be fine singing and dancing :)

I do watch grey's and I'm sad to see him go :( I loved George. He will be missed. BUT AT LEAST THEY DIDN'T SEND HIM TO PRIVATE PRACTICE!! WORST SHOW EVER! Well when they had the whole elevator thing, it was kind of obvious that he was dead. And gone.

I stopped watching Grey's at the end of season 4, but I totally believe that Mr. Knight made the right decision, choosing his emotional health over his financial gain. No amount of money can make him feel better about himself around people who do not accept him.
