Charlie sings a beautiful version of the haunting song "Wayfaring Stranger" on the C.D. "The Best of Quartet West". He has a surprisingly good singing voice and this track of his is a real eye-opening tear-jerker.
Charlie Haden is so alive and rich with music. The epitome of playing one note and implying a million more. I only wish I had the courage to bear my soul the way Charlie Haden does and has for so many years. I think about that every time I pick up my upright. Check out you-tube's --- Charlie Haden Quartet West - First Song --- if you haven't already.

I was there on the third row & saw the hole consert, it was one of the highlights of the festival for me, great!!
Though Charlie is getting a little old now he's still playing strong, Ernie is amazing realy playing better then ever!!
