two crashes is not surprising. If it was followed by a dozen crashes I wouldn't be surprised. The Minivan driver was starring at the first crash instead of watching the slow car in front. A crash can start a cycle that can continue long after the first crash is cleared off the road.

I don't see what the first white car had to do with the second accident. If someone slows down in front of you and you rear end them, you were going too fast and following too close. The minivan was entirely in the wrong.

@robertgift well it depends on what happened before this but it appears to be a one way. The white car tried to turn left from a lane NOT THE LEFT MOST LANE ie turned INTO the lane the dark was was in so it would be white car fault in this case. now if thats NOT a two way and dark car had to DODGE white car IE not paying attention and go into oncoming lane then it would be dark car fault.

@frother black car was not speeding (I am guessing 25-35mph SL here) he was going normal speed. You just have to trust idiots won't do what the white car did. The black car SEEMS to be going fast because the white car is nearly STOPPED. I checked the other video he did indeed try to turn left from the RIGHT MOST LANE crossing into the path of the dark car. this was 100% white car fault. There is no "other direction" on this road its a one way.

@frother No he did not dodge to the right since that would mean turning INTO the white car. remember 2 lanes both going the same way. White car in RIGHT lane DARK CAR in LEFT LANE. white car stopping (for all the dark car knows he is turning right) dark car has no reason to slow down. His choices are INTO the white car or INTO the pole. Not much of a choice ehh :-) he probable did not even have a chance to lift his foot off the gas. Your nerve impulses are slower than you think about 270mph

@frother no it was not. I would NEVER have guess the car was turning left. I mean it was an assinine thing to do. the very last thing on my mind would be Oh crap this guy is turning left. He did not even have his signal on until JUST as he actually made the turn. Now I am hyper anal about aggressive defensive driving. I would have slowed down JUST BECAUSE it was odd what he was doing but again it happened so fast I am not even sure if I would have seen that coming.

@frother BTW in case your curious IF I DID have time to PICK white car wreck or Pole wreck I would pick white car wreck. You see either way my car is wrecked. if I hit the pole and miss the white car I have to PROVE the white car was at fault. if I hit the white car in these conditions the police will logically and correctly conclude white car fault. IE I am going to hit you instead of the pole if I can (if I can not avoid both) since this is your fault and your going to pay for it :-)
