The fact that 'predatory' lenders exist is simply b/c regular banks and lenders don't wanna take the high risk of loaning to so many people that might not be able to pay it back. So these are your only alternatives. I mean, if we legislate them away, the poor communities are royally fucked.

There's really no such thing as "predatory" lending. It's just another excuse for poor people to feel like victims of corporations and Democrats to play on that victimhood and make more voters dependent on big gov't. "Predatory lending" makes it sound like these institutions are out to get you, when that's just not the case. Their primary goals are to survive and profit. In a high-risk poorer area, you have to adjust, and "predatory" lending is how you do it. It's not done out of malice.

One of the best things to do is to make penalties payments illegal. Most predatory lenders keep their victims in perpetual debt with penalties fees imposed on the borrower for any asons. These penalties, along with tripling or even quadrupling of interest rates manage to actually increase the debt of the borrower even if the borrower is paying the full amount of the loan.

Banks are only part of the problem. Credit card companies are just as evil. They should be banned from college campuses. They prey on college students. These kids start out with massive debt before they even graduate.

In truth Collage kids are stupid to begin with. Many of them waste 50,000 getting a worthless degree and cry about being in debt when they get out. The sense of entitlement from my generation is just shocking.

This has been bothering me for a long time. I hate when they use terminology like "don't be broke". Sad. I feel for the people that get roped into this scam. The high cost of fuel is helping their cause. Debt! Debt! Debt! I urge the Senate to make predtory lending illegal. I hope for world free from war and debt. I hope for the freedom of all humanity.
