Chances its just a viral infection and you should just take pain reliever and use a warm compress, you may need some antibiotics and swollen lymph nodes could be cancerous so you should be checked out by a doctor just in case.

I live in Trussville,AL and started hearing the sirens go off in the middle of the night (sleep? I think not!) If one more tornado appears in this state again in the next 2 years I'm opening up a can of whoop- ass on the bitch! So tired of tornadoes!

Yeah...Don't want to burst your bubble, Matt, but that's one of the reasons why I lost my Dad! He too was like "I'm a real man, I can take on anything" and look what happened...I just saying. Go to the freaking doctor and get a flipping check. You don't have to drink a shitload of meds, but just find out with what you're dealing with. I do not know you personally, but that doesn't mean I do not care about you. Hope you feel better soon:) Don't wait. I'm keeping my fingers crossed:)

Yeah, it's probably just an infection if anything. Even then, something like lymphoma is pretty treatable compared to other cancers, even without radiation. Hope you feel better man.

I don't live where tornadoes hit, but last year in June, Massachusetts was hit by some tornadoes and I was in a town just over from where one had touched down and flipped over some cars. The sky was all red with black clouds and nonstop lightning. It was terrifying driving home in that! I'm going to Alabama next month to visit family and I hope there isn't any tornadoes while I'm there o.o Oh well, Get well soon Matt :)

@CelticWolfyCub We lived thru that event which is not typical weather for this area. We had been pounced on big time for so long & to this date we r hit with chemtrails. I never use to see what Im seeing here in MA as far as what the skies look like now. It's a fee for all for the industry here to mess with us and the dam Globe!

I live in Birmingham, and you know what's annoying? We had tornadoes all over the place, and we still have school today. It's like these people don't understand the impact fearing for your life all night has on your health. :P

I know that you said it's probably not cancer related and I hope it isn't but I read that the spice turmeric and pineapple enzyme both have strong anti-cancer properties. So do the canibinoids in hemp. Hemp seeds is the only food that contains all the amino acids your body needs. You can buy a bag of them at a food co-op and sprinkle them on salads, oatmeal, cereal, etc. They have a nutty taste. Research these suggestions and get well soon!:)

I agree with you on the whole medication-thing, no need to be excessive about it and stuff your body full of pills and shots. You might even become immune to some of it, like antibiotics, and then it won't work when you really need it. But if you have to, you have too. If the swollen lymph nodes doesn't go away soon though, you should probably go talk to a doctor. At least do some research on wikipedia! :) Get well soon, Matt! Oh, and go to sleep.

I also stay away from doctors unless I get a toothache or something immediate. My family had lots of experience with cancer and doctors. I do believe the treatment can be a bad thing. We had tornado warnings here for a couple of hours during the night with lots of rain and thunder. I know of some guys who have had cancer and other threatening problems who seem to be doing well without chemo. Good luck. My guess is you will be very well very soon.

MatthewBrianBrown- You're right to feel that way about medicatioons and stuff. I know all about that from personal experience. I was forced to take alot or medications and it did stop my body from being able to naturally heal itself.

Tornado Warnings here in Georgia too. My dad 'bout pissed himself because last time 7 tornadoes in one day came buy and destroyed EVERYTHING but we went to my brother to a safe house but now that my brother lives with us my dad lost his cool.
