Anyone that complains that it's to happy or poppy, she clearly wasn't trying to play it like the original. If you didn't notice, the only thing the same in the piano is the chord progressions. The piano is the most expressive instrument there is. Let her express.

First off, guys, never tell a pianist how they are supposed to feel when playing a song ( I am a pianist too). because, even the though the song is meant to be sad, it still doesn't mean that it's going to make everyone feel the same way. Personally I think that the way she played the song went with the way she sings, she has a beautiful voice which isn't emo or depressing when you hear it.
