This is my absolute favorite song of the last two years, but their new single "Racing Lights" really disappoints me because it sounds like they wrote it with the specific hope of it being a hit on Top 40 radio alongside "artists" like Lifehouse and Kelly Clarkson. It doesn't even sound like the same band that gave us this wonderful song. I pray to God that the new album doesn't all sound like the first single.

I don't understand the "Oasis" comments at all. I can hear elements of Ride, The Doves and Snow Patrol but definitely not Oasis.

I only found this track whilst looking for the utterly superb "The Stars Of Track and Field" by Belle and Sebastian but these guys are pretty good and don't sound remotely like Oasis, I can only imagine that being said by someone who has never actually heard an Oasis song.

i do. its in the line thats like "Faded prints and sample times novas thrashing in your eyes." and it sounds like champagne supernova because its a monotone octave over the root. and then the last note is a 7th. and they do that exact thing in champagne supernova on the chorus. but its still definently unique and better than champagne supernova in my opinion.

For me "Movies of Antarctica" and "Champagne Supernova" are two completely different songs...So what if music sounds similar. The bands that influence you and impact your musical taste are the ones that give your music personality.

don't compare music to other bands. they didn't go out to steal oasis' songs, they made their own song. you can find similarities in a lot of music. ever heard of the beatles? and how much of a ripoff oasis wishes they were of the beatles?

Not lyrically, but musically. Starts about 47 seconds in. Erase the lyrics in your head, and just listen to the music. VERY similiar.

Brilliant!! What an awesome song. I would never have known who these guys were except for the fact that I am going to see Joseph Arthur and The Lonely Astronauts on 5/04 in Portland. They are the opening act and they're from Portland Oregon, go figure. Any way I looking forward to seeing them. Listened to a lot of they're stuff in the last couple of days. Good Stuff. Cant wait.

I love this band, but I don't love the video.

The performance on the beach was alright, but this is a really goodlooking band, but it didnt showcase that, and the landscape wasnt impressive enough to make up for it, and it also felt painfully mismatched to the footage of the characters, which looked amatuerishly shot...

The characters are really interesting, but they didnt do anything interesting with them. I kept thinking that by the end of the video they would all get together somewhere since they seemed to be getting dressed for something, but nothing happened. In general, nothing happened. And what was with the girl? It made no sense at all...

This really bums me out. This is such a great song, and the video didn't do it justice at all...
