Macir can either be found from statues or enemies. Use select to check what kind of enemy would be holdng it (indicated by the ?????) marks, but its very simple to find if you scour the maps
Looool... When you have the Macir equipped press X and Up on your touchpad or press Y and Up and you summon the big axe, it costs hearts however, for the axe thats 15 hearts everytime you use it

You mean "when you have the Ascia equipped". Macir is hammer, Ascia is axe.
