  • Now they got hispanics pickin the cotton fields. Lulz!

  • @Dave3oh they're in mexico, genius. 'hispanic' is such a misnomer.

  • I HATE JEANS. THEY ARE THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE PIECES OF SHIT I HAVE EVER WORN

  • @DATWEIRDGUY1 O.O then those weren't jeans. NEW jeans are a lil stiff...but the get comfier and comfier with age (:

  • So those $300 jeans are made right beside those $30 pair. Crafted from the same material and by the same underpaid employees. Isn’t capitalism great!

  • djt

  • I never wear jeans anymore, Now I only wear black slacks that are custom made by a tailor. The fit is much better and I don't have to support so many Mexicans ^_^

  • @HumaneAnon - Don't blame the employees for working. Their need to work is as important to them as our need for employment is to us. Further, they have to feed their families too. If you want to be upset, blame your politicians.

  • 9:54 The jeans say Hipster :p

  • real bosses buy raw denim and fade it themselves.

  • at 35 wtf..!!!

  • it seems whenever they introduce a worker, his name is always "Jose".

  • i hate it when i see people wear jeans with "worn creases" they look so fake

  • the guy is constantly on about cowboys and then he mentions gracing a cowboys behind yeah hes gay :P

  • -they say nothing fits so well as a pair of jeans-

-I don't wear jeans because they never fit-

  • @MrsMaskie Due to your massive arse.

  • @th310ne because of textiles homework :)

  • @therealgeriboss I couldnt agree more

  • The excessive use of puns makes this video unwordy for my attention.

    ...

  • @TheRealGeriBoss were you making a pun? shame on you! =P

  • they forgot the part with the child labor...

  • i will always remember these workers. did you see the masks

  • "I SPEND $300 on Hugo Boss Jeans"

    Good for you.

My brother spends £3 on jeans from the UK equivalent of walmart. The 18 year old girls at school asked him if they were designers. The truth is, he's just battered the shit out of them.

  • @lexichronicle2 moron

  • cheap and cheerful. my new motto.

  • Whats with jeans and cowboys anyways.. history messed up..

  • yellow jeans

    nice idea

  • what happens to clothes that aren't bought?

  • Goes to show that your expensive jeans are the same ones you can buy in a discount store, just with a different label. None of which fit right, you can buy 2 pairs of jeans with the same brand name label and they won't fit the same.

  • MEXICANS!!!!

  • you make fine jeans only to rough them up wth....

  • I actually didn't guess yellow...

  • hoh hoh ho ben nevzat

  • Dimond Gusset jeans are good and they are made in the USA

  • Ha. Those totally looked like American Eagle jean labels.

  • NOTHING compares to American made products! We put quality in our products! I bought a trash can from Wal-Mart made in China and wasn't long before the spring clips broke on the hinges for the cover. Cheap, as usual!

  • @johnifly So how do the American brands compare to the Chinese? I was thinking of getting some levis but they are very expensive. But if they are worth the extra money I won't mind investing.

  • those used to be american jobs that came with health benifits. now american dont work and get obama care. obama care is all death panels and posion pills that kill the unborn.

  • 08:54 You can think so wrong :)

  • who's wearing jeans right now? ... lol

  • this is sooooooooooo boring! xD lol

  • i love the way they actually show MEXICANS doing these hard jobs..... glad to know someone actually knows how hard MEXICANS work..

  • nice ass ^^ 9:00

  • I've always fucking hated those ridiculous light blue 'creases'. Pffft looks more like someone cleaned a paintbrush on them.

  • Denim fabric is born in Genova, Italy. Not in france! It's well known :-)

  • I never liked jeans. Too stiff, too painful. If you have an itch on your leg, too bad, the feel of your nails will never reach your skin through all that tough denim.

  • i wanna punch the narrater

  • i simply love jeans :D jeans r like guys, they r tough, durable, requires less care but still best looking and fashionable :D

  • I want some new LEVIS now!!!! xD

  • @Okaymax LEVI's pay you to post that comment?

  • why is this guy obsessed with cowboys...

  • @tardisboy He still thinks like a lil' boy :D

  • @tardisboy GAY ?

  • LOL after they're done, they add labels to them randomly to show which ones are designer and which aren't.

  • @xSarahCate NOOO! THATS BULL SHIT I SPEND $300 on Hugo Boss Jeans because they use the finest denim threads and the leftover thread scraps are what make your cheap ass jeans bitch.

  • @averagejoe511 Actually, it's all denim & thread RETARD.

  • wash with rock

  • Cheap and Cheerful? The workers or the jeans?

  • the background music is just..

  • I'd rather have a pair of new jeans, why the fuck would I pay 300 dollars for jeans with stains and shit?

  • I prefer the cheap and cheerful type

  • they need to keep all those jeans and sell them themselves.

  • Thank you Mexico.

  • Anyone that tells you they'll be able to give these away for free is BADLY deluded! I've worked in the textile industry for well over 23 years total and, despite how they say trade agreements are so wonderful, they are not! This is why there are few jobs that pay well in the U.S. anymore! Not limited to textiles either! If trade agreements are fair, that's one thing but not lopsided agreements! Workers in China are wising up now and want more money! It's about time!

  • great story on how textiles is made.

  • That ´s why I´am wearing shorts !

  • lol everyone is too cool to wear jeans that look brand new, so true...

  • i remember when cotton mills where in the southern united states

  • to make the jeans coloured in blue, the cotton have to be dyied. you guessed it, yellow. wtf

  • 9 dislikes? these people must be retarded

  • Could jeans be made by self automating machines like robots to produce the clothes and let's say if the machines didn't have to be maintained could the jeans come out for free if there were no human labor involved?

  • @Dimitri0809 no still electricity+material costs + profit they want :P

  • @azdor87

Will there ever be a time where man will discover the technology to produce certain goods for free so that one day we might just be able to have a pair of jeans and not have to pay or work for it to produce and obtain the jeans this goes for any product though?

  • And what if the electricity could be supplied free let's say if it were powered by renewable sources of energy and the material costs would be supplied free because the materials would be supplied by automated machines that would supply you the materials for free?

You have nothing to lose other than the fact that you won't make money but you will and anyone will be able to take their favorite pair of jeans for free anytime they want.

  • @Dimitri0809 People need to make a living off something. Wouldn't it make more sense for us to pay for things we don't actually need (like a pretty stack of our favorite jeans EVERY TIME WE WANT THEM) instead of for things we actually need? How would people who provide services like entertainment or design live? You're asking for something that is not viable. If something who works to make your jeans doesn't get a penny they will die of hunger. Think before you type.

  • @Karmillina

I think you should think before you type until you realise how my idea works it's not hard to understand how work can work by it's self provided you have the right technology to do so..

  • @Dimitri0809 Nope. The material is still costly, and also the periodic maintenance for the machines, which still needs to be made by humans.

  • @Karmillina

What if the machines don't need to maintained by humans and the materials could be provided for free because the materials industry was were ran by technology that can supply the materials without cost or human intervention.

The technology may replace YOUR job but everyone benefits from something that can be produced for free, I don't know why anyone wouldn't want this technology to take over when everybody benefits the free produce the tech provides..

  • hai

  • Excellent educational video, Many thanks

  • pair of denim jeans while we find cheap labor to give this to you

  • I haven't worn jeans in over 12 years!

  • oh boy a mechanical cock

  • does he have to say all there names

  • im NOT racist but i find it funny that only black people are picking the cotton

  • i didnt know only cowboys wore jeans.

  • Four hundred kilos of cocaine forever

  • i lived where the cotton ispicked ;D, in the actual city not in the fields .

  • typical american eagle

  • Wow, they really wernt kidding when they said stone wash jeans

  • "American" jeans......?

  • thumbs up if your wearing jeans right now

  • @gamer00341 FAIL

  • don't let the black people know that they have machines replacing them now. They'll be most displeased.

  • watching them put them wear marks on them jeans makes me wanna kick someone in the taint!!!!! I hate going to a store for jeans cause you can never find a pair of regular blue jeans that ain't all messed up!!!! Whats wrong with people these days!!

  • @Crow2991 Try shopping somewhere other then the gap and hot-topic.

  • @IncredulousMarmalade never been to them stores! walmart and tractor supply is where i get my wranglers!

  • @Crow2991 I was just giving you crap. :D

  • @Crow2991 you can still buy shrink-to-fit, raw, unwashed denim jeans from levi's... they're indicated by the number 501xx. i'm wearing them right now. got them kohl's, but you can get them for cheaper on the levi's website.

  • why do they iron them first and then give them stonewash?

  • Mexico is US colony for jeans making)))

  • wow

  • See not all mexicans are bad

  • Lol Hollister.

  • They Took Our Jobs Hehehe South park.

  • anybody else notice that at 2.22 the backhoe tractor is overheating

  • @minimichelson Not until you mentioned it.

  • Lol, pretty much all the workers are wearing jeans too!

  • What about all those with adjustments, different styles, and the companies' logos? That would require them to change a whole procedure! I mean, look around! Hardly ANYONE wears the same pair of jeans as someone else!

  • 5:18 hahahahah

    hilarious

  • Whatever happened to "Made in the U.S.A.?" The quality of the jeans are not what they used to be like when it was manufactured in the United States. At least in the United States you KNOW you have quality! You DON'T know what you'll get when it's made in Mexico or ESPECIALLY China! It might be treated with poison chemicals! Good Grief!!

  • @johnifly You're a fucking idiot.

  • @klm4298 I still work in a textile mill, no thanks to NAFTA or the agreements and trading made with China and other foreign countries!! If anyone is an idiot, your other fingers are pointing at him!!

  • @johnifly You're right, you having a shitty job has nothing to do with trade agreements. What the fuck is your point?

  • @klm4298 It has EVERYTHING to do with trade agreements. Years ago when textiles was a major trade in the U.S. I was getting LOTS of overtime and was able to make living wages but not anymore! THAT'S my point! Maybe you can live on minimum wage but I can't!! Employers can now call the shots and pay low wages where years ago you had a choice. Not anymore! And that all started with NAFTA and the other trade agreements. So yes, it has EVERYTHING to do with trade agreements!

  • @johnifly Try going to university and getting a decent job. Americans will do shitty jobs without problem but they will only do it if it is minimum wage. Foreigners in some not fully developed countries will do it for much less. I agree it is a problem but stop looking at with such a simplistic and idiotic ' They took our jobs!' view. Your opposition to trade between countries is extremely idiotic and shows you have little understanding of world economics.

  • @klm4298 I'd go to a university but I'm a little too old to do that now. Oh, and it DOES cost money to go to a university and once you get out there are no jobs to get!! It's so easy to say that!! Manufacturing made the U.S.A. into what it is today and now they're mostly all over in other countries. I'd be willing to bet you haven't been around long enough to understand that though. Enough already!!

  • @johnifly Yeah, well blame the crumbling U.S economy and the greedy wall street bankers, investors, and corporations who caused it not trade agreements.

  • @klm4298

It's not about trade agreements.. and it's not about greed either.. it's about how can we possibly produce a product for free. And don't say it's not possible because anything is possible provided you have the right technology and the know how to do it.

If you can get a machine or a robot to produce your pair of jeans then you won't have to pay for the labor because robots don't need to be paid for labor espeacially ones that don't need maintenance.

  • @klm4298

Those countries need to create their own jobs.

  • @klm4298 Take note as to who's working the field and running the machinery! And I'M the idiot? Hmmm!! I hope your job is outsourced and then you'll see what I'm talking about!!

  • @klm4298 Just as I thought! Made in Mexico and NOT the United States like it used to be! And I'M the idiot? Hmmm!! Somehow I just don't get it!! I guess Americans don't need to work anymore!! We'll live on air alone!!

  • @johnifly

Not working as in not producing the product, But the product produces it's self with machines and robots running on renewable energy that run the machines that will produce the jeans by it's self without any human labor. which is good because it will come out free then.

technology will one day produce all our products for us and we won't have to work to produce the product.

  • @johnifly Well asshole, here in Mexico there are actually people who make a living off this. Mexican work labor happens to be cheaper, that's why many brands make their jeans here. We import tons of crap from the United States and our economy depends on yours, what's so wrong about you importing stuff from other places every once in a while? Or are you the only people in the world who have the right to produce jeans? You are so irrationally whiny.

  • @Karmillina We are the ONLY people in the world that make QUALITY work and we take PRIDE in our work, not like the shit that's made in China, Mexico, and other smaller third-world country ASSHOLE!!! Maybe you want to work for shit wages but I DON'T!!

  • @johnifly mexican products are one of the finest in the world

  • Why are they looking at people's buts in the beginning?

  • @joshua53492 I like looking at butts, ESPECIALLY guys' butts! :-)

  • At 1:13 the coton look like a bird head !

  • Super song macha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I bet the blacks would be happy ass fuck if that machine was invented when they were slaves..

  • Switch on the Captions and click to 1:25!!!

  • @iignoromance Lmfao...

  • @iignoromance But you mean transcribe audio though, not captions.

  • @XxxkenzaxxX oh yeah. i meant to say that :) haha

  • we have alot of expansive jeans brands factories here in tunisia , and i buy all my jeans stolen direclty from the factories by workers :P most expansive jean costs 15$ max

  • In the early 70's I toured a Levi-Strauss Factory in Harrison Arkansas. It operated pretty much the same the one in this video. A coupe if years later I heard that Levi-Strauss had closed all of its American factories including this one and moved them to Mexico. Another sad day in American manufacturing.

  • Humans are brilliant creatures! Factory technology are surreal!

  • Austin ... I've never had a problem with my Levi's or Dockers (Dockers D2's & D3's)

  • A designer jean is a pair of jean that has been through numerous revisions so that the back of your ass does not sag, and that the front of your crotch area does not crease. The fit is superb and it last a long time. Levi rip too easily while premium jean last longer than Levi. It is also attention to detail. There is a reason why it is call designer. The time frame to create a designer jean is over 100 hours just to complete a pattern before sizing it and so forth.

  • I didn't guess yellow . . . = (

  • Nice like how they are good workers..

  • I never knew that Juan and Francisco Gonzalez picked all the cotton for jeans in the world.... Good guys

  • why cant they automate this ?

  • @matchbox555

Otherwise, the people who are making this jeans, wouldn't have a job anymore. Then, they get nothing instead of the little bit of money they gain for it now.
