I use cannabis everyday to treat my Tourette's Syndrome.The effetcs of the Cannabis is almost instient only taking secs to work and lasting longer than any pill given to me by any drs for Tourette's Syndrome.

Thank you. This addresses my concerns. I'd like to see more focused discussion about how real patients actually use medical cannabis. That would be helpful for us home bound people who have little peer contact.

thx for the video... i have really bad spasms. And finding a doctor is basically impossible in ontario... over a year i have been trying to get anything to help with my spasms and pain. And still i call my doctor everyday only to have them tell me that ill get a call back.. and i never do. but glad to see you have some relief.. maybe god or someone else will eventually help us... it defenetly wont the be the government .

"Medical Marijuana" costs way too much, people. THC is covered by insurance, you just have to be honest with yourself and ask your doctor for a prescription for Marinol. Anyhow, chronic pain doesn't cut it in CA anymore, unless you can afford $60 a eighth for it.

Indeed, natural medicine shouldn't cost so much (excessive taxation doesn't help either), but it doesn't have to.

As for Marinol, patients and researchers say that Marinol is largely ineffective, with an un-titratable, uncomfortable and spacey effects. Natural cannabis has a balance of cannabinoids and other compounds that buffer/counter the THC and provide many of the medicinal benefits - CBDs and aromatic oils (terpines), etc.

I agree 100%! Natural medicine is the only way. We need people who can grow cannabis for this purpose, naturally, so I will continue to look for those people here in Fresno. For now, though, I see that money is driving the dispensaries, so I'll keep up the search for land and farmers willing to grow, at cost, for the people with a right to those allotments of medicine. We are close, but not if money does win out over nature. Thank you, my friend, for letting me know there is hope.

The laws against marijuana violate the U.S. and the kentucky constitutions on numerous levels! These laws have no business being enforced, if I am elected sheriff of Gallatin county, I will protect the farmers rights to grow as much marijuana as they want! The sheriffs dept will accept said marijuana as payment of property taxes. The value will be set after I am elected but the way I see it, we should have marijuana available to the general public.

The farmer can sell it for $5 an ounce and the retailer will pay a $5 an ounce tax to the county, and add $5 an ounce for himself to sell it retail! The commonwealth of Ky already sells marijuana tax stamps. And there is nothing stopping Gallatin from issuing their own tax stamps!

A farmer can raise 1000 pounds of marijuana and make $80,000 the county will make $80,000 and the retailer can make $80,000 for every 1000 pounds of marijuana.

I did ask my doctor, he told me Marinol was illegal and would not prescribe it, but the main problem I have is that it is only synthetic THC, spasms & inflammation need the combined THC and CBD's, and CBD reduce the buzz while allowing the THC to get rid of the pain, I don't want to be stoned, I just want pain relief without the pharmaceutical side effects and life destroying damage, and something that is effective, where pharmaceuticals lack.

@thawkinsjr Most Dr.'s that treat pain agree that Marinol is really not affective and is really just used for cancer patients with severe nausea. there are other reasons as well for Marinol not being as effective. When you separate the part from the whole, and turn it into something else, you lose the effectiveness.

Marinol doesn't do shit for muscle spasms with severe pain, I should know, I have MS. I was told that by my neurologist just recently.
