I know Bernice King very well; I worked for her and the King family for over a decade. I can tell you without question that BERNICE KNOWS LINCOLN SIGNED THE EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION & not the Declaration of Independence. If you notice, she was very caught up in the moment & just misspoke. It's really that simple. To make it anything other than is just searching for something to complain about. They too also have their images on postage stamps (hell even our paper currency) national holidays and names of streets, federal and school buildings named after them. Her words were majestic! She got caught up in the moment and said "Declaration of Independence" instead of "Emancipation Proclamation"...big fucking deal! You pseudo-intellectuals might want to read your history b4 u speak. Lincoln's proclamation freed slaves only in the treasonous confederate states. He did NOTHING to free slaves in places like KY or MD. That required a Constitutional Amendment. This woman is her father's daughter and calling her ignorant reveals you 2 b an ignorant racist!
