This case is perplexing. What the hell is wrong with a cop that just accepts the identity of a driver with NO verification? If you get pulled over in my city and have NO I.D. you get hauled into jail. You don't just make up a name and sign the ticket. Something is fishy here. And the fact that the defendant is so insanely stupid and testifying against herself, well, this can't be true. This case doesn't ring true to me. If it is real, I'll remember that the next time I get popped in LA.
So, let me get this straight, the defendant is saying in a nutshell turns 21 in the US has the right to drink and drive. How does she support herself? "I have ways."... She sells drugs or is a terrible prostitute. And a the end, "I know I did something wrong but..." She's saying she shouldn't be punished at all for it.
Her ID said Age 21 in 2004. And she said she was turning 21 when the incident happened-Making this case old...kind of confusing because it's from 2011.
I've heard people claim that the people on this show are actors and never believed it, but with cases like this I can see how people would think that. I mean, no real person could be that friggin stupid and immoral. She seems to think there is nothing wrong with drinking and driving, and the comment about how she gave her cousin 50 bucks and "some people don't get anything" is just so, so,..... ARG! @foroparapente The simplest answer may be:
1. Any person of any race who needs gov assistance because they NEVER were financially or emotionally stable enough to child bear,
2. Is convicted of child abuse or abandonment.
In the former the assistance is granted, the latter, the child taken to foster care, and in BOTH cases, the mother and DNA tested father are sterilized. I'm tired of paying for their mistakes financially, and as a citizen who becomes the victim of their street raised kids.

However I am not tired of helping out others, even if it's through an inefficient state, dictated by corrupt politicians and abused by 80% of the beneficiaries...for that 20% it's worth it. But that's just my opinion. The way out of this is to vote, and apparently what you propose won't get anywhere because bearing children is a biological feature of humans, like it or not.

@rogerrodd Idealism is a form of reality. I am not impoverished, I don't envy richer people or feel sorry for poorer people. I do think inefficiency in helping others is preferable to cruelty. Some great people come out of the dumps and I like to be in a society that takes that chance.
I fully understand your point though, and if the majority would prefer a society that is that cold, I'd be less happy but still a part of it.
And we are in the same civil universe :-)

However. I am SO angry. Having multiple children without resources is nothing short of reckless endangerment. Maybe decades from now this behavior will come into sharp focus, and we will freely see sociopathic production of helpless children with a critical eye.

I really do feel that if white people did more to take care of black parents and their children, situations like this would not arise. We owe it to them in terms of better education and social programs that instills family values, we need to take more from the rich (the whites) and provide more educational training programs for child rearing African Americans.
