Ce film me magnétise à chaque fois que j'en vois une scène. Irrationnel et magique. Les acteurs sont formidables. A la limite du mélo, du racoleur sordide et du néant. Mais en vérité un sommet bouleversant, extraordinaire.

Disagree. She plays an actress who SELLS HER SEXUALITY for a living so there's an element of artifice to sexuality in the movie. She PLAYS sexuality, and she has none left for herself or anyone else. People who sell sex for a living don't (at least for me) come across as sexually attractive. Her sexuality in the movie is of a DESPERATE and VULNERABLE kind more than anything else, eg. in the very first scene, when she's masturbating, when she mock-kisses Servais, the last scene.

This film is so beautiful, I saw it thousands of times in a VHS tape, but can't find it on DVD, Zulawski is so incredibly intense. Thank you for that post.
