  • That's not a full purpose quantum computer -.-. It's a bloody 300mhz NMR machine.

  • Anyone actually know anything about quantum computing here?

  • Damn the laugh, but this was interesting.

  • That guy's creepy as fuck

  • Can it run crysis?

  • no doubt, that would be like asking can your laptop run super mario bros.

by that time computers will be so advance crysis would be seen as primitive.

  • Skynet is born

  • Any and all atoms.

  • @117PWNS any atoms that works with entanglement.

  • What kind of atoms are they talking about? Carbon?

  • Let's fired it up... huhuhuuuuhuuhu!!!

    1:20

  • i'm glad the video explained everything b4 it cut short

  • Seth Lloyd = alpha male.

  • Oh my god imagine if 00:47 happened to you

  • He's like the Beavis of scientists!

  • Smoke weed much?

  • @esubadog if ur smart, yes (organic weed)

  • in theory a quantum computer could be developed within 10-20 years and the quantum computers could lead to an early singularity. then the machines start developing the machines and the machines will get smarter.

Then the machines creating the machines will be smarter and then the smarter smarter machines make smarter x 3 machines and u have Hyper exponential growth of technology.

it would be quadrupling every 18 months or so. so something huge is coming!

  • the laugh HAHA great video tho!!

  • every great scientists are scary

  • but can i game on it? :-p

  • @ulysees321 hmm i guess it will create like a virtual reality for us so we can game like never before lol

  • @Maltebyte2 ha i want a startrek style holodeck :-p

  • @Maltebyte2 Hmm... We already half perfect virtual reality, so think of that.. we could feel the guns, we could feel the trees, we can feel the red button, we can feel the avatars, we can feel the clothes, we can feel the blood under our feet, but they would also stop of from feeling a death or being hurt cause of the game... Wow.

  • 0:47

    .......

  • hes laughter is killing me

  • fuck this

  • Bald + 1/8 comb over + pony tail = Epic Hairstyle!

  • Epic laughter.

  • Give it up Professor, just shave your fuckin' head,

  • LMFAO quantum laugh

  • I found it difficult to masturbate to this video.

  • He needs to work on his quantum hair

  • speaking of weird ..

  • The first successful quantum computer will be created in the next 5 years but problem is the software won't be able to counter the hacker with all the quantum computers attacking the government. It is most likely quantum home computer won't be here soon.

  • No one can focus on this vid because of this dudes laugh lol!!!!!! It's all you think of hahahah! Hehehehe giggle giggle giggle!

  • This guy is quite the fruitcake, but isn't quantum computing amazing?

  • Omg... 1:27 he laughs again!

  • this man can TALK TO ATOMS...

  • It's already here :)

  • FUND IT! I want the Singularity event to become true!

  • creepy ass laugh....

  • cool these fuckers will solve chess NP !

  • 1:21 LOL

  • This is too brief... Actually anyone who's watching this has meant nearly nothing about quantum mechanics...

  • Dual and multi-core computers are allready doing more things at once.

  • @turgore yes but they have multiple cores, it's like having two computers.

  • @turgore i beleive its something like computers work with 0s and 1ns at their core but quantum can do 0 and 1 as well !

  • @turgore no they are not....all classic computers, dual and multicore are still doing only one thing at once. it's just so fast that it gives the illusion that it's two doing things are once. if you study computer hardware, you'll realize why this is true, or just pick up a book or google it.

  • @turgore ok every core does one thing at once, two cores do two things, they are talking about 1 core doing infinite amount of things without adding cores.

  • These guys are literally changing the world as they speak.

  • 1.22 free laugh button

    nuhuuuuuhuhuhuhu

  • epic laugh ^_^

  • sooo....will it run Minecraft?

  • @michealang1 It's so powerful it will transport you inside the voxel engine in minecraft. Then you'll die.

  • PRESS 2 REPEATEDLY!

  • but will it blend?

  • @MCTemPErENce Lol'd so hard at this comment, noticed it after watching the video and it just cracked me up :D

  • We think that human was created by God. In the facts, maybe human is going to create God.

  • I need a quantum computer to deal with my quantum weirdness! Oh yea...and I think I love you.

  • SKYNET

  • Oh ye and 18 people will be dead when quantum computers are public

  • With his quantum hairstyle

  • 0:41 and 2:46 quantum laugh replay buttons

  • 0:47 I think I soiled myself.

  • Imagine getting a scratch on the laptop of the future, " My computer's not rebooting!!! I think I erased the operating system" XD

  • why do all scientists have eyesight problems?

  • Well, it's due to the extreme intelligence focused in certain parts of the brain.. this takes over parts of the sections that control sight. :3

  • Dude that was just a NMR machine...

  • he's the seth lord and as u see on his board he's trying to create the deathstar

  • This is a fantastic if sparse video. I am writing a short paper on quantum computing and he explains it well; one of the concepts is that a classical computer can explore one branch of a decision tree in some clock cycle, while a quantum computer can explore all branches simultaneously! (If there are any experts out there and I have it wrong, please tell me!)

  • Comment removed

  • @marieomagpie It's about advancing technology you genius!

  • @marieomagpie it's impossible to explain quantum mechanics properly in an hour long documentary directed at laymen (which i assume this is taken from). he probably goes on to explain it further in the rest of the program. anyways, i thought it was explained rather well, just in the few minutes of this video.

  • @marieomagpie even if he explains it, you won't understand...

  • @VanMedia Then you agree that he wasn't even trying to explain it!?

Just telling us about what It should be capable of? well I don't think thats cool. boring.......

would be better if he were telling as about the process of how its done, troubles involed and then some theory.

  • 2:46 He manages to laugh inwards and outwards at the same time. Quantum laugh

  • @dec20056 FUCKING HELL LMFAO im pissing myself hahahahahaha

  • Comment removed

  • @dec20056

    hahahahahhahahahahahahha

  • @dec20056 Hahahahahaha, you are right there mate :P

  • @dec20056 haha you just made me spit apple juice with laughter.. Then I realised what a geek I was so I was sad.. But then I felt a little bit smug, but then I realised I'm not that smart so I am now neutral

  • @dec20056 HAHAHAHAHA

  • he laughs like an evil psycho path.. his my nigg..lol

  • Such a computer will be able to predict how many pubic hairs your wife will have 10 years after your death.

  • He laught like a madman !, it would be nice to have it as teacher :D

  • i love how he laughs huahuhuhuhuhuuuu

  • lmfao!

  • Is that laugh downloadable as a ringtone? That's WAY cooler than the computer, imgaine a world without the standard nokia ringtone!

  • cant wait for that stuff being in my xbox :)

  • he's a pc, he's a mac...... im quantum

  • This guy is using Zero-Point Energy, No fucking Duh why you can store an infintie number of terrabytes on a quantum computer, go watch watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA watch?v=8nCCHo1fdMA
  • smarter than the human brain?

That's not true , a guy named sturat hammeroff said that the mind is located in the qurantum scale in micro-tubules.

  • @BeamSurfer Lol what the fuck are you talking about. I love how there's so many idiots on the internet attempting to spout words they don't even know and string them into something that may appear to be smart.

  • a computer that can tell the future

  • wait until we can transfer consciousness to quantum structures, then we'll see who's laughing, stupid computers xD

  • @tigerfedor1 First we have to know what consciousness is... or even if it exists.

  • @rmhism well i think understanding consciousness is irrelevant, if the Godel argument holds true we can replace structure of the brain one by one without disturbing the 'mind' until the whole thing is changed, personally i believe the limits of our own intelligence should we chose to redesign our minds some time in the distant future is all but unlimited, not that i would consider it desirable, intelligence has no value beyond its contribution to our happiness.

  • i think our brain is quantum already

  • @BeamSurfer NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! wrong!!! we are fucking retarded compared to what these things will be able to do.

  • Laugh and makes jokes all you want! these things will destroy all privacy(if there's any left). No encryption algorithm will be safe, Governments will wage a Quantum Cold-War. Corporations will make trillions updating and upgrading components. There's no end. Huxley was right.

  • @omid11 ur like those hobos on the streets with controversial signs

  • i might be powerful enough for the next crysis game.

  • will it run WoW ?

  • A quantum computer will be more powerful than a mainframe the size of the universe...? fuck...

  • so wish i had this guys laugh!!

  • This is a look into the end of the human race.

At least we will laugh our way thru it all.

  • best laugh ever!

  • hope it can run crysis 2

  • seth lloyd ia a brilliant guy

  • If what they say is true, the would have created a computer singularity. AKA, not good...

  • I love how spasmodic he is.

  • SHUT UP HAL!

  • @xXTREY4LIFEXx Shit, hall was equal or lesser to that of a human brain.

A quantum AI could possibly have emotions... and with that much power, unstable... Eeesh.

  • GOD i hope its not gonna be Windows pre-built in to my first one...

  • Does that mean like we could have cybersex. people having sex in our living room and we can watch and participate?

Like in 3-D or 4D whatever that is?

  • it will run crysis inside crysis.

  • @includao No sir, it will run a real life simulation depicting every single detail of the universe of crysis.

  • @includao Cryisis the inception mod lol?

  • @includao Well lol... It will run 10^23 crysis game inside billions of crysis inside of billions of crysis games =D. You can take over the world easily if you have a quantum computer.

  • @includao Not only that, it will do it a thousand times over, and the still have time for a cup of coffee.

  • @brutsi At least a billion times. No. A trillion. No, a quadrillion...

  • @includao we need to go deeper......CRYSIS INSIDE CRYSIS INSIDE A CRYSIS!

  • @includao you mean crysis within crysis to the infinite degree.

  • Bought his book on Quantum computters...

improved my golf game but not my brain.

I want to turn my brain into a quantum putter

and merge with the spititual universe.

In this universe I won't need spellcheck.

  • but can it run crysis?

  • wow this will cause a new golden age for not only america but the human race at this rate me thinks we'll be looking at some mass effect halo star wars tech very soon

  • Skynet went on-line on Monday, August 4th, 2015 and becomes self aware at 2:14 a.m...

  • @doomkun

Computers that create stuff on their own are going to be the biggest mistake from humans ever... machines are for processing and humans are for inventing

  • yo dawg i herd u like to laugh so we put a laugh in ur laugh so u can laugh while you laugh.

  • Omg, it's Zaphod Beeblebrox!

  • his her is awsome

  • I hope I'll be able to store an MP3 of this guy laughing on my future Quantum Computer.

  • wait wait wait wait waaaait waaaaaaait waaaaaaaaaaait. You can talk to atoms!!!!!

  • @Numba1SouthParkFan Take it easy.

It was a metaphor for using the superpositional states of sub-atomic particles within an atom to do computation.

  • @Numba1SouthParkFan I can see them, too! :-D Oh, wait, it's a dragon. Lucky that I ate those shrooms, otherwise I wouldn't notice him.

  • It looks cool, but is it going to help me take over the world?

  • i quantum processor the size of a grain of suger would process multiple times faster than all the computers in the world

  • What I want to know is, when these computers are made public, how will they merge safely into society? As soon as one person has one, that makes anyone around them a target because no encryption today is safe against these computers.

  • What if u took the qubit from one quantum comp and put it in an existing quantum computer, would it double the thinking power that the original computer had or would it use the qubit in an other way? All speculation...

  • 0:48 LOL!!!!!

  • More powerful than the human brain? What a scary thought!

  • @whitesword86

Meh, the computers we use in every day tasks are starting become, if now already, more powerful and faster than the human brain.

  • @mankyman6 It depends how you define brain power. Your definition for brain power seems to be how many impulses you can generate every second, or in the computer's case, how many calculations it can do every second. My definition for brain power is the ability to think, solve problems and learn without external help. Those abilities are unique to the human being. Unlike humans, computers never make mistakes, that's why we work hand in hand, we think and invent, they do the number crunching.

  • @yellowmetalcyborg

Yes, it does take a lot more than just speed to mimic the human brain, but I was just comparing speed. Quantum computers, at least from what I've read, should be able to "think" and solve problems. Now, what i want to see is a self-aware computer.

  • @mankyman6 You probably read information from doubtful sources, computers are not able to think and solve problems unless the problems and solutions have been preprogrammed into the computer via software or hard memory... by a human programmer. If computing speed was all that was needed to mimic the human brain, today's petaflops supercomputers would gain conciousness and act like humans, but that is not the case. So technically, no matter how fast supercomputers will get, they will not think.

  • lmao more than half the comments are about porn

  • 0:51 LMFAO

  • His laugh appears nervous and uncertain. Is he not sure if he should be laughing and not laughing at the same time?

  • So what field of science is this part of? Physics? Computer Engineering? Chemistry? or is it a new branch?

  • @davidthefat I would guess quantum mechanics

  • Comment removed

  • i dont want a quantom computer.couse i swere if my computer talk to me and be like hey you have been watching too much porn lately im going to break it.or if it say im bored im shuting down

  • my computer would br able to think cool but by the time they create this i will be like 90. im now 17

  • Thats crap, atoms don't have an uncertain existence.

What this reporter means is the "Heisenberg uncertainty principle" which refers to photons and electrons...

  • @Medhusalem atoms have electrons and they interact with photons

  • @selraith123 yea so, were was I wron then?

  • Comment removed

  • @Medhusalem you weren't and im not exactly sure why i said that... redundancy ftw

  • "so what do we do with it? huhhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuh lets party right?" XD

Also, he looks and talks EXACTLY like that wierd scientist in stargate sg-1 lol

  • This guy laughs like a mad scientist should laugh! :D

  • @kaabezza this is because he is completely mad

  • @kaabezza hahahhahahaha thas very true

  • @kaabezza omg! true!

  • @kaabezza ''Suuupper Geeen-yuss''

  • @kaabezza what is a grammar?

  • I think a quantum computer will be responsible for designing the finite improbability drive, which will then design the infinite improbability drive. Then we can finally go hang out on Mars!

  • Seth IS the computer. However, the programmers couldn't get the human laugh right.

  • the most useful thing a computer can do is build a more powerful computer.

  • umm.. is this same as nano computer... "storing information with single atoms"

  • you smart people! why im so stupid?

  • Finally, a scientist who admits; he doesn't get it. His laugh is creepy though.

  • xDD 00:48

  • @smokechok 1:16 is funnier

  • I could totally pwn at css!

  • kinda fucking corny in the beginning

  • Quicker than the human brain... I'm upset and self-brain conscious!

  • What documentary was this from? The singularity I believe, i just forgot where to find it on the net. Can someone help me? Thanks!

  • creppy and cool at the same time
