I had a blue and white one... the thing was though, that if you used them on anything abrasive, like concrete etc, the soft rubber foot wore away rendering it useless... also, no-one had the massive open floor area to run them on... not like today with laminate flooring in every room!
and if you didn't have the right angle when getting them going, all the skin from your knuckles got ripped off. You learned after the 1st time (5th or 6th for the stupid kids).
I had one of these and got into big trouble at school for putting one top of my best friend's head and well.........it spun her hair so tightly around the tip the teacher had to cut the thing off her head!

I loved these... I would use the belt sander to get them going... oh my dad hated that... but man those things would go nuts! Wish I had a few for the kids.
I LOVED THE WHIZZERS! I would have bunches of them and would rev them up on my mom's kitchen floor. We had the gyroscopes, the string walkers, and all sorts of little gadgets for them. Too bad I never had a bigger floor...damn carpeting. And the voice on the ad is the legendary Wink Martindale, somewhere between his careers as a top-40 DJ and a game show host.
I remember and had one!

I put mine in my sisters hair just to see what would happen. My Mom beat the fuck out of me, thats what happened. And my sister had a bald spot.

I loved this toy. I would rev the spinner and then put it in my sisters hair. creating impossible knots. Hours of pleasure.

I had one as a kid!
They were cool until the rubber piece at the bottom wore down, then it was just a piece of eye candy.

Of course I remember Wizzer. I had two of these I received from two different relatives the same Christmas. They both had pirate designs on them.
